The French presidency of the Council of the European Union is an opportunity for Food for Europe to draw a portrait of French agriculture, the largest farming sector in the EU 27. If the sector in France is aging generally, among young people entering it a “return to earth” has become highly fashionable. But with one imperative: to reconcile farming practices with the environment, and on a human scale.
