NFT NYC
It's NFT NYC week, and the excitement is palpable in the crypto world. This week, there will be new artists and creators showcasing their unique and innovative works. Among these new artists is the Stubs artist, whose creations are expected to be a highlight of the event.Last Friday, the markets closed on a quiet note, and today, Apple is in the headlines. The weak open to the markets today can be attributed to the bond yields going higher on the recent jobs numbers that came in line with expectations. Despite this, the markets have been relatively stable, and there hasn't been much volatility leading into the Shanghai upgrade, which is set to take place in two days.Staked ETH will now be able to trade, and roughly about 20% of the supply will become available. According to Mando, this will likely be priced in, and there hasn't been much movement in the markets leading up to it. However, the upgrade is expected to be the spotlight for crypto this week, and many are looking forward to seeing how it unfolds.Bitcoin continues to outperform ETH through the year, sitting about 15% better from the beginning of the year. This seems to reinforce the priced-in narrative, as many investors are bullish on Bitcoin's future.Meanwhile, the Nakamigos have risen back up to .7 eth, and there have been some interesting developments in the NFT world. The Blur farming continues with a brutal 30 punk dump, and 100 rektguys were purchased and dumped. On the other hand, Azuki is up, and spirits, golden skateboards, and more are selling for massive amounts of eth. Milady's is also seeing a proper pump, which is a positive sign for the NFT market.Overall, the crypto world is buzzing with excitement, and all eyes are on NFT NYC this week. With new artists and creators showcasing their works, and the Shanghai upgrade set to take place, this week promises to be a memorable one for crypto enthusiasts.GM Hosted on Acast. Wen Castle Party?
Yesterday's US jobs figure came in just about as expected, with a slight miss of about 2,000 jobs. Despite this, there was little market reaction, and BTC is currently trading just shy of $28,000, while ETH hovers around $1,860. With both the US and Europe on a long weekend, there is an expected quiet time in the markets.Meanwhile, in the world of NFTs, there is some speculation that someone traced an IP to Montreal in regards to Nakamigos causing a pump. The identity of the person is still unknown, but it is interesting to see how community speculation can shape market trends. On a more positive note, we were joined by Trevor Jones and the Makers Place team to talk about the Castle party, which is being held in memory of the late Alotta Money. This event is not only an exhibition, but also a charity event to raise awareness for new artists and the legacy of the legendary crypto artist, Alotta Money.During the discussion, Basileus talked about the base layer of fun behind Alotta Money's art and life in general. They even touched upon his final days, emphasizing the importance of living life to the fullest and leaving a positive impact on the world. As for the traditional markets, there was a weaker tone today, with gold dipping off from highs. Oilil is currently above $80 per barrel, which is notable. The banking system is still in hot water, and bank stocks have continued to suffer as a result.GM Hosted on Acast. The Great Decoupling
The cryptocurrency market saw a slight retracement today, likely due to the looming news of the Shanghai upgrade that is incoming. However, traditional markets seem to be having a weaker tone today as well. On the other hand, gold dipped off from yesterday's highs, and oil is currently above $80 dollars, which is notable. The job market has been under scrutiny as the market expects Powell to pivot in case there is any sign of weakness. Bank stocks have continued to get hammered, and the banking system is still in hot water. In other news, other deeds have dipped since the decoupling, which essentially refers to another 100k NFTs from Yuga. One set has decoupled assets, another has artifacts, and one has a set of 10k Kodas. This increase in supply does increase the market's supply, but there is also a splitting effect. The job market has been under close watch as the Fed considers raising interest rates. The lowest labor market number since 2021 was reported recently, indicating that things may be slowing down. This gives more power to the Fed to raise rates, which is a factor that could affect the crypto market as well.Interestingly, crypto feels like it is more correlated to gold and interest rates as opposed to the actual stock market. The correlation is even stronger considering the recent retracement in the crypto market due to the looming news of the Shanghai upgrade.Bank stocks have been hit hard in the market, with the banking system still in hot water. If there is any indication of the job market showing weakness, the market expects Powell to pivot. The scrutiny is evident in the ongoing monitoring of bank stocks. The decoupling of other deeds has led to a dip in the NFT market, but it has also led to an increase in supply. Yuga has released another 100k NFTs, one set of which has decoupled assets, another has artifacts, and one has a set of 10k Kodas. While this does increase the supply, it also splits the market and causes a dip in the NFT market.Gold dipped off from yesterday's highs, while oil is currently above $80 dollars, which is notable. Traditional markets seem to be having a weaker tone today, while the crypto market saw a slight retracement. The looming news of the Shanghai upgrade is likely the cause of the retracement in the crypto market. We also had Gmoney pop up and grace us with some input and info on his recent merch drop with Admit one. Best FILT3R EVER!?
The financial world is constantly in flux, with news and events causing shifts in the market but GM Web3 is here for you! Yesterday, traditional stocks saw no change in price action, but interest rates saw a massive rally following some concerning labor data from the previous day. The labor market numbers were the lowest they have been since 2021, indicating that things may be slowing down. This gives more power to the Federal Reserve to raise rates. This recent development may be one of the reasons why crypto is rallying, with ETH finally hitting over $1900. It will be interesting to see what the Payrolls number is when it comes out in combination with this recent labor data. Interestingly, crypto seems to be more correlated to gold and interest rates rather than the stock market.Meanwhile, the Shanghai ETH upgrade is incoming, but it received some FUD from the timeline. People pointed to the amount of ETH set to be unlocked along with the upgrade, and it seems that there was a "buy the rumor, sell the news" type of situation. The upgrade is set to go live on the 12th, and staked ETH will be unlocked, which is a highly anticipated event. The amount set on the unlock is 16 million ETH, which equates to around $30 billion. This is no small number, and will be a significant development in the crypto world. In terms of NFTs, not too many major movers have been seen. Nakamigos have been holding the headlines, topping out around 0.9 but now sitting in the 0.4 range, settling at a 40% fall. Opensea Pro was launched, and a gemesis NFT was offered to people who used GEM before a certain date on a one-per-wallet basis. Milady has also seen a fair amount of traction after Cobie changed his PFP to one of the misunderstood beings. Prior allegations seemed to have been cleared. The interface for Opensea Pro seems to be better in most every way. There is a "pro" and "collector" mode, offering different interfaces and information presented in different ways. The question remains, will they bring out a coin? They seem similar to Coinbase in that they are the only ones doing what they are doing without any token to go along with the platform. In a surprising move, Bugatti, yes, the luxury carmaker, is getting involved in NFTs and collaborating with Asprey Studio. There will be a physical item attached to the digital collectible, some sort of carbon fiber egg, and it will be available on the Bitcoin blockchain as an ordinal. OnChainMonkey is also involved in the launch, so they are web3 official! Finally, we were joined by FILT3R Studio, who shared their BAYC AR filters that look absolutely amazing! Watching the YouTube stream for the full experience is guaranteed to be a treat, as these filters are on a level that hasn't been seen before. Live listeners even had a chance to win a wearable. Their OG Allowlist is currently open for a chance to get in, exclusive for BAYC holders for the time being. The financial world is always changing, and staying on top of these developments is crucial for those invested in the market. From interest rates to NFTs, it's always a rollercoaster ride. Tune in to more GM Web3 to stay up to date!Filter team on @ 57:44GM! Hosted on Acast. Elon did what!?
The world of macro seems to be relatively quiet these days, but there are still some notable events happening in the cryptocurrency and geopolitical spaces. ETH is making gains this morning, while there was some fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) yesterday regarding CZ possibly being arrested due to rumors surrounding a Cobie encrypted message.Meanwhile, Elon managed to push DOGE up to around $0.10 simply by changing the Twitter logo to the Doge sign!On the geopolitical front, there are moves against the US from Saudi Arabia, which has teamed up with China to cut supply for the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). The dollar has weakened in comparison to global currencies, and it seems like there could be a coordinated attack on the US. In addition, Finland has joined NATO, and with a massive border share with Russia, this spells trouble for Russia as its major regions are in the north, and Finland's alliance will hinder any movements there. As for the financial markets, gold is moving in conjunction with BTC/ETH, and the recent moves are not necessarily a result of stock market activity. Rather, they seem to be due to the degradation of the US dollar. The G7 is also being flipped by the five BRICS countries, led by China, in terms of world contribution as measured by GDP. The population in BRICS is massive and accounts for 30-40% of the total world population. In the world of NFTs, Nakamigos are experiencing a pullback, while Gucci has teamed up with Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) to create a limited edition digital and physical necklace. The collaboration was announced on the official Gucci Twitter account and covered by Vogue, making it a notable event. Interestingly, Gucci is accepting $APE as currency for the necklace.BusterScher shared some of his unique collectibles, including a request to be a brigadier general signed/accepted by Abraham Lincoln, a bond receipt from George Washington, and a Warren Buffet-signed letter to a pastor, which is a rare specimen. He also shared an original Titanic photo, which is possibly the earliest known photo of the sunken unsinkable ship. Additionally, he showcased his original artworks and backgrounds from season 1 of SpongeBob, which were all hand-painted.Finally, the team will be attending the Proof of People event in New York on the 12th and 13th of April. The first PoP happened last year and celebrated art, life, and culture in the web3 world. Refraction DAO was on stage to share about the performances and the venue at Zero space.GM Hosted on Acast. STUBS round 2! New YugaLabs CEO!
In this podcast episode, the hosts discuss the recent market performances and news in the crypto world. Equities ended the week strong, with YTD performances showing Nasdaq up 17%, which is one of the best performing quarters in the last 2-3 years. However, crypto remained mostly unchanged, with BTC dominance at 48%.The hosts also talked about the recent controversy surrounding Arbitrum token. There was a vote to move around 750 million $ARb tokens to the foundation, which was rejected due to accusations of it being a "slosh fund." The Arbitrum team defended the vote, stating that it was to ratify what was already happening, but the timeline was upset, causing a slight dip in the token's value. The podcast also discussed some interesting developments in the world of NFTs, including the Nakamigos and the Captainz from 9GAG. Additionally, vhils joined the show to talk about his new drop coming up Ephemeral Ether. Finally, With hearts was announced as the second artist for the STUBS burn/mint experience, with his piece "Rektburger". The piece was created from a photo taken in Seattle at an actual burger spot named Dicks. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.https://linktr.ee/rugradio

The First STUBS burn! 🔥
GM Web3 had an eventful show today, and here is the recap. Firstly, another measure of inflation came in below expectations PCE, which is good news for the inflation narrative. BTC and ETH are experiencing a pump, and OSF is passing the brew and the Hopium around. Interestingly, BTC dominance has dropped today without an apparent reason. The hosts predict a god candle weekend, but they advise to DYOR. Ian C Rogers came on to talk about the recent raise that happened with Ledger. He shared that during the SVB breakdown, he learned the best lessons in bitcoin available. He believes that digital value needs to be workable and integrated into our everyday lives. Ledger will now have a fee-free trading day once a month on the Ledger live network. Most people are not aware that they can trade crypto on ledger live. However, the advantage of using ledger live is that your trade is on-chain, which means you sell your assets and become an owner, not just a number on a CEX spreadsheet. Ledger also plans to support different connect kits for various wallets across the network. They encourage favorite Dapps to sign up and integrate Ledger Extension. They stress that security should be taken seriously and that nobody should be requiring a blind signature to use their products collectively. The taproot wizards have over 4k videos submitted for the wizard shower videos creating a viral trend in the bitcoin ordinal and web3 timeline. Big ups to Udi Wertheimer for making magic. 🪄Degods migration to ETH is the headline of the day, and their floor is up to 9 ETH! They also announced that @blur_io is their partner in migration. Y00ts are up to 2 ETH, with most of the volume still happening on Magic Eden. Rekt mando points out the mastery of Frank degods marketing tactics. People are going absolutely nuts on the news of a contract migration, which is usually a non-event for any other project regarding price action.Interestingly, Trump was indicted, and his NFTs rallied on the back of that.As a founder, one is usually chasing the hype, but once they get it, they better watch out. There is usually a painful sharp drop off afterwards.Lastly, today is the first BURN for STUBS! GDR is our first featured artist, and there are two different editions, one that requires a burn of 3 STUBS and the other for 1 STUBS. Four people who burn for the GDR piece will win tickets to Consensus in Austin, TX! to be selected.Ian C Rogers on @ 25:28Burn event starts @ 1:11:10GM Hosted on Acast. WTF is HV-MTL? + PIXELYNX
In this episode, we discuss the current state of traditional markets, which are strong and expected to close well. Interest rates are selling off, with 2yr treasuries seeing a slight increase. Crypto saw a dip in gains from yesterday, and altcoins are selling off, with $ARB outperforming most of crypto. BTC dominance continues to hold strong. We also cover the latest news in NFTs, including Yugalabs' reveal for the Meta Apes, which was a big hit. Volumes across collections have slowed down, and Doodles 2 genesis boxes are set to open on the 31st. ArtBlocks.io opened a marketplace and is enforcing royalties, and Nakamigos are off their highs.Coolcats had a town hall meeting where they discussed their struggles, their deal with Macy's, and future plans, but sell pressure continues.Ledger is close to completing a 108 million euro raise, following a 300 million dollar raise last year, indicating that they have kept their market valuation throughout the market fallout. We also discuss Frank degods' recent buying spree, where he tapped into his favorite ETH communities to celebrate the migration. He bought a Bored Ape over CryptoPunks, citing the airdrops and claims associated with the apes.Lastly, we were joined by PIXELYNX, who has worked with major brands in the past and has a passion for music before getting into blockchain technology. Their aim is to join music and gaming together and were recently acquired by @animocabrands. They envision something similar to Pokemon but for music.PIXELYNX on @ 59:50GM! Hosted on Acast. What if Yuga fails? Blur farming extension
In this podcast episode, the market saw a strong day with the S&P 500 up 0.9%, but interest rates have sold and 2-year rates had a big move over the week. Traditional markets are being compared to FTX with crypto, as big headlines are followed by a lack of news and no crashing, suggesting that the rate of correction may outweigh the crisis. Meanwhile, crypto is holding and has rebounded from regulatory FUD, with XRP seeing another move up. Binance is receiving FUD over their connections to China, and Euro transfers of more than 1k may require KYC like traditional banking. Nakamigos is now sitting at .44 and was part of the end of the Satoshi drop. Blur has announced they are extending their rewards, which will be painful for Opensea as they've seen 50-60% market share. Beetle has announced big news, and Y00ts migration went smoothly yesterday. It remains to be seen which coin takes second place to ETH in trades between Solana and Polygon. Lastly, the UK has delayed its plans to get into NFTs, and a TikTok ban is still being discussed with an uncertain outcome.GM! Hosted on Acast. Binance, Legends of Mara + Sorare
n the TLDL thread for March 28, 2023, the podcast covered various topics. The crypto market has bounced back from its dip, and there is no major macro news to report until Payrolls. However, Binance has been sued by the CFTC for willful evasion by using VPNs to evade certain guidelines. Despite this, there is an oddly bullish hidden narrative since this is the commodities sector, and certain assets are loosely defined as such. CZ made a proper response, read the article to get the juicy details.Prosecutors filed a lawsuit against SBF, accusing him of bribing Chinese officials. However, Mando points out that this practice is often above board in the US and might not have been prosecuted the same. Otherdeeds announced positive news about Legends of Mara, a new 2D game linked to the deeds. The game allows players to extract resources, Kodas, and artifacts and is set to come out over the next few months. The game looks exciting, with features like vessels, lore and evolution, farming and land.Legends of Mara is said to pick up where the second trip to the otherside leaves off. Kodas are the primary keepers of otherside and are said to be adept at farming, enchanting, and hunting. Currently, a Koda is basically 1:1 with Mutants. The podcast also discussed Ticketmaster using NFTs for ticketing. While physical ticket stubs have been a highly collectible asset for years, digital tickets have taken over the industry, eliminating the need. With the blockchain, a new form of ticket collectibles is sure to emerge.GM! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.https://linktr.ee/rugradio

They discussed the upcoming Payrolls data point and how OSF is keeping an eye on bank stocks and the financial services industry.Regarding crypto, BTC saw a dip entering the morning and is down in the 27k range, while ETH is hanging in the 1700s. $ARB has been the token to watch as it launched with an airdrop last week but is also feeling the retrace sitting at ~$1.2. The hosts noted that banking stocks had a mini bounce but nothing crazy. They also discussed Nvidia's opinion on Crypto, saying processing power should be focused on AI.In NFT news, prices were relatively stable over the weekend, with Punks and APE's creeping up slightly. The great bank decline & Joker Club spirit
in this epidote, we discuss the latest developments in the financial and crypto markets, as well as exciting news in the gaming and NFT industries. Yesterday, equities had a strong start, but concerns about Deutsche Bank's financial stability have surfaced. Interest rates continue to be volatile and are pricing in a different tune from the FED's narrative, with speculations on an emergency cut being priced in.Meanwhile, crypto is outperforming traditional markets, but if regional banks such as Deutsche Bank go down, it would require a cross-Europe decision to bail them out. Additionally, commercial real estate is the latest concern, and unrealized losses are continuing to surface globally. Banks that have supported startups and those with large commercial real estate portfolios will come up short and be exposed to the falling dominoes of this crisis. In the NFT market, we've been dealing with "price bad" for a while, with top collections mostly down to around 20% on the 30-day. Mando thinks we should be prepared for things to worsen, and the musical chairs of liquidity continues.Moving on to gaming news, Kansas has announced its casino, with a trailer revealing things like sports betting in the panda universe. Dan Houser backed "revolving games" is designing a game for the Creepz. In other news, Yuga Otherside 2nd trip has been announced for tomorrow, the 25th, on a first come, first serve basis for users. Team captains were also announced, and all users will be assigned to a certain captain. Post-FOMC, SEC + Coinbase
Welcome to today's podcast where we'll be discussing some of the latest news and updates from the financial and crypto world. We start off by noting that it's a beautiful day!Yesterday's FOMC was one of the most important ever, and one key point that was omitted In all of the commentary was the fact that rates may be raised as the Fed sees fit, indicating that they may be close to the terminal rate. In the world of crypto, there was a slight sell-off but it has already retraced and is now basically unchanged.Staked ETH is the next big unlock happening for crypto, and as the saying goes, "buy the rumor, sell the news." Meanwhile, the Arbitrum airdrop unlock went live today but the entire network went down shortly after, causing a lot of responses. We also discussed the NFT floor prices, which aren't looking good for those at the top. There have been reports of 10 apes sinking into bids, dropping the bid wall even lower. On a positive note, the NFT now PASS is live today, and we had Co-Founder/CEO Matt Medved on stage to break it down. The summoning & chat w/ The Glimmering team
Welcome to the latest news and updates from GM Web3. In this episode, we discuss NFT sentiments, news, and a special guest, TheGlimmering. The crypto market has been experiencing major volatility in interest rates, with swings of up to 10% day to day. BTC touched 27k, a great sign, while ETH hit 1750. Alt coins are lagging and not performing, but they are following the two big coins. The team is unsure why crypto is rallying.Things are not great on the NFT front, with Mutants and otherdeeds dropping. The team's fallen angels, including doodles, clones, moon birds, and cool cats, are not doing great, and this period is described as "the bleeding." However, the stage is hopeful about CloneX, and RTFKT Fud has been weak.In this space, as a founder or creator, understanding community sentiment is crucial. There are both profit-focused and emotionally vested members in most of these communities. You vote with your wallet, and your conviction is represented by your 0x address. The summoning from Yuga happened, with the new assets trading at 2.14 ETH. Farokh shared a stage with CryptoGarga in NFT PARIS, and was told the Dookey Dash game grew the Yuga ecosystem by 40%! There was a big power source sale for 45 ETH, but it's unknown what's inside.Degods ordinals are kicking off, with the original frank asset sold for the equivalent of 50 ETH. There was some fud around the .44 BTC price, but the counterargument is the actual floor price of DeGodsNFT, which is around 6.5 ETH.Redbeardnft has decided to live forever and inscribed his soul onto the BTC blockchain. If you see him, you can now refer to him as inscription 492293. He is one with Satoshi! The team was joined by The glimmering and J1mmy.eth, who is bringing the Bored Apes into their glimmering world. The on-chain game platform is launching on March 30th, with 43k custom artwork layers in the project with custom sound/animations. The mutant apes were seen as a perfect villain for the humans in "Ocelot," the world. Inspirations for the Glimmering lean heavily into Dungeons & Dragons. Ancestries, weapons, soundtracks, and detailed hairstyles are all included, and the team uses the 5e TTRPG rule set created by D&D.0xPolygon was chosen for the Glimmering game, with all data stored on-chain, from dice rolls to hit points. The actual NFT will morph over time based on the data acquired from playing the game. Rug radio is bullish on Polygon and its carbon-neutral efforts. This is another great example of IP being used in a positive way. Fallen Blue Chips & Soft Rugs
On the equity market side, the day was a mixed bag with the S&P being down and the NASDAQ up slightly. The Credit Suisse bank got their bailout, which led to a rally in the stock market. However, some investors are concerned that Europe is the next in line for a financial crisis from the banking system. Interest rates were very volatile, and the curve has flattened with 10 years going lower and 2 years going higher, which is inverse to the normal trend. Oil prices are steadily creeping up, which is worth keeping an eye on, and the crypto market seems to be holding decent with some altcoins moving 5-10%.On the NFT Twitter side, the community seemed rough as there was a lot of fear, uncertainty, and doubt about several projects, including Clone X in March, Doodle, and Poopie. Some investors are wary of PFP projects announcing new utility as they often end up poorly, despite any initial pump. Some investors are also concerned that Doodle's plan seems to cater to consumers instead of collectors, which can cause friction between the two groups. On the positive side, some investors see the current environment as a proper cleansing, as FOMO over the last 24 months is finally bottoming out, which is lending a platform for true growth and building. There is also talk that applied AI is going to transform the world, and the intersection of the blockchain is critical for things like security and verification in prompts and deepfakes.Voltura from Psychedelics Anonymous tweeted about potentially handing the project over to a DAO and letting them create a token, but he later deleted it and backpedaled, saying it was just an idea, a bad one. Chat GPT technology is enabling users to create whatever they want inside Oncyber, and there will be early access granted to select users to explore the new tech.Lastly, there was a partnership announced with Sorare, and a free mint was dropped by Fairxyz in celebration of the last week partnered with Rug Radio. The Summoning & Chat GPT4 have arrived!
On today's GM Web3 episode, we learned that traditional markets had a volatile day, with a huge rally in interest rates that is being closely watched. This is significant because continued rate hikes are now being priced in, and the Fed's policy will be under heavy scrutiny. On the other hand, crypto seems to be doing relatively well despite the volatility in traditional markets. BTC is currently at $25k and ETH is in the $1640s, with both outperforming traditional markets. The banking crisis, which is a global issue that started in the US, is not exclusive to US systems. In Europe, smaller banks are likely to face challenges as the same situation emerges. In the world of NFTs, volumes have been slipping this week, with most things down 10-20% on the 7-day chart. However, Azuki and pandas have been relatively solid throughout. In tech news, Open AI has launched Chat GPT4, which can solve more complex problems and offer more in-depth responses and solutions. IG quits NFTs, Rug Radio X Sorare
In the GM Web3 podcast episode on March 14, 2023, several interesting topics were discussed. First, the recent CPI and core inflation numbers were reported, and the market responded positively as they were in line with expectations and lower than last month. The FOMC meeting on the 21st was identified as the next big macro event.Next, the podcast touched on the cryptocurrency market, which was up by about 10%, with Bitcoin and Ethereum both sitting at all-time highs and outperforming most alts. NFT marketplace volumes were lower than usual, with BLUR dominating the majority of trading volume. The podcast also discussed the Cookie Monster and the rest of the Sesame Street gang hitting the blockchain, as well as a job posting by Pokemon for someone with a deep understanding of web3 and connections to investors. Instagram's decision to stop supporting NFTs was noted as a negative development from the stages perspective. Finally, Rug Radio announced their partnership with Sorare, a fantasy sports platform that raised $600 million in funding. Rug Radio will have a new vertical focusing on sports, with Buster scher leading the charge. The Buster Show, which has been running for four years, has featured guests ranging from Tom Brady to marine biologists, but sports will always be a focus.GM Hosted on Acast. The Fed, The Future and The Feature Le Good Society
Welcome to today's podcast! Congrats on making it this far! Today, we talked about "The Fed, The Future & The Feature" with legoodsociety.Over the weekend, we saw a sell-off in the crypto market, with Ethereum hitting new lows in the 1300s. The talk was all around SBV and what would be salvaged. However, news on Sunday revealed that deposits will become available, and the Fed has stepped in to help resolve things. Traditional bank stocks sold way down, and interest rates moved from 5% on Friday to 4% on Monday, a 100bps move, which is massive. SBV had a ton of government bonds in their "hold to end" and "maturity" portfolio, and massive losses were taken by the Fed increasing interest rates the way that they have, leading to collapse. The Fed is in a tough position, and if they increase rates, then pain increases, and some sort of collapse seems imminent. Crypto has rallied hard with all the bank news, and we are up from the weekend lows. Stables didn't feel stable, and BTC & ETH are looking like the best stores of value. Markets are very volatile, and we could expect major swings while the banking crisis plays out. Our pros think this is a pivotal period in general policy, and the Fed will have to do a 180 on raising rates for the last 18 months. As the saying goes, "The Fed keeps on raising rates until they break something," and well, something has broken. Suddenly, the Fed has to come in to protect all depositors that got caught in the move of rates, not necessarily doing anything wrong. Raises were an attempt to combat inflation, which could now continue to rise. Fractional banking does not look great, practically fraudulent, and this all makes crypto look great. Gold has seen a rise, and BTC/ETH are often called the Digital Gold. The end game looks crypto positive. However, it's too early to call things one way or the other, and there is still a bearish scenario for crypto if we see some intense volatility. If the S&P drops 20 points, we could easily see a huge dip in crypto alongside it. So proceed with caution.Over the weekend, tough times were seen for NFTs, with most collections down 5-10%. OSF's fallen angels category, Moonbirds, doodles, and CloneX are continuing to struggle, and the marketplace is around 24 million, which is still low. Considering the chaos in finance, things are looking decent overall.Twelve Fold, the generative project from Yuga, was revealed over the weekend and has not been met with great reviews. The limitations for data storage on ordinals will always put a damper on visuals, and many are upset that they look similar, but that wasn't the value prop last week.In Charleston, SC, we saw the grand opening of the Beeple studio event. He did a live everyday in front of the crowd, and printers attached from the ceiling literally airdropped pieces for people that were there live, with NFTs redeemable for a select few.Le good society is an Environmental awareness initiative that uses art exhibits and web3 tech to get the message across. Plastic Free July is an example of one such effort, and all projects utilize the power of art to create conversations and bring awareness to the topics. The hedara network was chosen by le good society since they are carbon-neutral. Rug radio is going to be collaborating with le good society. Community members will have a chance to vote for what art is used and possibly have their own work.GM Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.https://linktr.ee/rugradio

NFTs, Macro & Gitcoin presents what?
March 9th, 2023, the hosts discussed updates on NFTs and macro trends. They mentioned that jobless claims data caused some sell-off, but the Payrolls number coming up on Friday could have a larger impact. OSF predicted a shift as there was a large short base going into Friday. They also discussed how crypto is creeping lower, with most alts down from their recent highs. The hosts talked about how airdrops and coins have been driving most of the NFT volume recently. Blur farming and Ape staking have been a major factor, but the price of coins dropping off has caused volumes to follow suit. They noted that the initial pumps are diminishing, painting a rough picture ahead. The podcast hosts discussed the 'Gitcoin presents' Mint, which happened yesterday and took degens by storm under the title of a "Vitalik NFT." This caused massive speculation and a strong pump once it caught wind. The floor price is at 0.43, and there is a lot of talk continuing about it. They also mentioned it's the cover of a book co-authored by Vitalik Buterin himself. The hosts discussed Silvergate making headlines again, announcing liquidation. It is unclear how or if they can repay back deposits, and there is no data revealed on the assets they actually possess. Their stock dropped 40%, but it was expected given the situation.Blur degen activity has gone even crazier, with things like 15k available bids on 10k collections, all above the floor. Inverted markets across collections are a bad sign. The farming continues, but it is shrinking, so listeners were cautioned if they are trying to play this game.OSF Rekt Cities 2 is dropping, and a snapshot was taken for full set holders who will be able to receive a free piece. If the price of ETH changes more than 5% up or down, the metadata changes to different themes accordingly. The hosts provided all the details, which can be found on Twitter. Finally, the podcast hosts announced that OthersideMeta's second trip is announced to be on March 25th, which is the first involvement of "team captains." Users will be able to invite guests, and Otherdeeds is nearly a 2 ETH floor.GM Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.https://linktr.ee/rugradio

GM Web3 ☀️ on Rug Radio 🎙️: Mando & OSF sold their Apes!?
The first topic covered is the ongoing dispute between Blur and Opensea. The big subject today was two of the top BAYC holders, Mando and OSF, sold off their bored apes for over 6k ETH worth of assets, which didn't affect the floor's value due to the bidding war. Meanwhile, the crypto market has seen a move down, in line with the macro market. Alt coins have seen a 10% drop, while the Chinese crypto market is booming. In other news, blur farming has made liquidity available for projects via bids. The traders still believe that the bored apes have room to run up to 100 Eth, even if ETH increases significantly. Blur_io announced that loyalty will be rewarded for participants, and PacmanBlur doxxed yesterday and wrote a thread that dives into his past.Opensea has ended its limited-time 0% market fees and has now moved to 0.5% fees. The hosts caution listeners to be careful of volatile swings. We discussed the crazy volumes happening in the market and the massive trades taking place at scale. Despite this, floors are trending down. They also note that whales may be the ones benefiting from the farming trading, and that there is plenty of liquidity for those who want to get out of something. The Blur Farming situation, which has created conflicting sentiment on the timeline. While some projects are seeing increased royalties being paid out as a result of the huge volumes, small projects and small bag holders are not benefiting. The cancellation of the Proof of Conference received heavy backlash. Sponsors and sales data seem to be the tipping point, and refunds are said to be claimable for those who purchased. They also note that Friendsies has been declared an official rug, with their Twitter account being deleted. The hosts express disappointment that an established art brand with major connections would launch a project that turned out to be a rug. Finally, the hosts welcome special guest OnChainMonkey and his team, who launched the first PFP collection on Ethereum that only required a single transaction for all of the assets. The animus team ran by JN silva also dropped their amazing video highlighting the deep spiritual approach that Cory puts into his art and ultimately his lifestyle. Look to official accounts for the links and stay safe, there will be following wave of mints being allowed through the syndicate DAOs mint page. Full summary here: Gldn's NotesGM Hosted on Acast. GM Web3 ☀️ on Rug Radio 🎙️: Ordinals, Payrolls & Twitter revenue
Today was a big day for macro events with the non-fund payrolls coming in way above expectation at 517k vs the expected 187k. A surprising point, contrary to the latest headlines about tech layoffs. The market sold off and recovered with very little action in crypto but things are up a skosh. There was some new innovation in the oldest cryptocurrency with BTC allowing Bitcoin-minted NFT to store an image on chain. This opens up new possibilities for a new market but the Bitcoin maxis were not happy with this as the network saw some undesired effects resulting from this. Elon musk announced that twitter will be providing potential revenue through ads in replies. Very few details were shared but the attempt at creating a creator economy is seen as a step in the right direction. Get the summary here: Gldn's notesGM Hosted on Acast. GM Web3 ☀️ on Rug Radio 🎙️: GoG + the Bull!
The show opened with an extremely bullish sentiment from both of the professional traders on stage who also happen to be two of the three hosts. Contrary to what most were expecting, the Fed dropped some dovish commentary and the market reacted. At the time of the recording Mando stated he was adding risk and by the time of this summary the markets, both stocks and crypto, saw a pump. If you want to feel good about the future of your bags this show is a must listen. We were also joined by Aaron from the Guild of Guardians game team. He dove into the core ethics of the project and the reasons that they hope to stand out from the rest of web3 gaming and establish themselves among web2 mobile platforms. GM Web3 ☀️ on Rug Radio 🎙️: Scott Lewis w/ Canto
This episode opened up with some in depth macro talk, preparing for tomorrow's FOMC meeting. OSF expects that we will see a continued Hawkish narrative come from the commentary if any at all. Although this is bearish, everyone seems to agree it will be bearish which means most of this will likely be priced in and we won't see any violent swings or sell offs. The focus of this episode falls on Scott Lewis, who is a major contributor and leading force for Canto, a new layer 1 blockchain. There is no single founder of Canto, and so far all of the chains effort have been towards a more decentralized world starting with their community. There isn't even an official logo, only images created by leading contributors. He dove into the foundation of Canto and the reasons why someone should consider getting involved. There was also a disclaimer about the difficulty to enter the canto universe, it is there for a reason and if it seems like too much you probably aren't ready to enter. On this episode, OSF walked us through the macro talk with lots to expect. The FOMC, payrolls and what either of those events could mean for the prices we all cling so dearly to. Crypto has been moving finally but not all coins are moving equal with ETH still underperforming compared to BTC and the rest of the crypto space. NFTs have been dominated by Open editions of all sizes shapes. makes and sources. Over the weekend we saw some major "successes" with 10's of thousands of editions being minted by multiple artists and massive volumes flowing thorough these contracts. The stage speculated on what that means for the future of the NFT space and the current turmoil and stress that it's putting on artist who wonder if they should hop on the trend or hold true to their core values and current collector base. We were joined today by Jacob Riglin a well known photographer who recently had a viral photo of the departure from the lat burning man festival. His recent efforts have been in the area of a type of generative art using photography. He combines layers from different photos using one photo as a base and via code creates collections that dance between real and surreal environments. Journey is his latest brainchild and will be free to his previous holders. Jacob R is on @ 1:03:27Full summary here: Gldn's NotesGM Hosted on Acast.
