S1 Ep 105Hunt for the Wilderpeople
Hunt for the Wilderpeople is a Sims Family Staple! Isaac and Olivia cover it and compare it to Taika Waititi's other films. Isaac mis-states an actress' name repeatedly. Olivia and Isaac muse on the healthcare system in New Zealand, how they can never remember the events in the various Jurassic Park movies, and much, much more.

S1 Ep 87Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
Did anyone think this movie would be anything less than phenomenal? After 2018's surprise animated hit about web-slinger Miles Morales, this sequel has been EAGERLY anticipated. We won't spoil anything here (gotta listen to the podcast episode for that), but is this the perfect sequel? Again, listen to the episode you morons!!!! Stop reading!!!!! Hit play!!!!!!!!

S1 Ep 86Lady Bird
Lady Bird is Greta Gerwig's 2017 masterpiece debut. It's legitimately a perfect movie. That is all that needs to be included in the shownotes.

S1 Ep 859 to 5 (1980)
TUMBLE OUT OF BED AND STUMBLE INTO THE KITCHEN BECAUSE IT'S 9!!! TO!! 5!!!Join us for a deep dive into the latest Clement Family Staple, and Isaac's first foray into the 1980 cult classic comedy. Jane Fonda, Dolly Parton, and Lily Tomlin are unforgettable in this hysterical comedy. Did it win best song at the 53rd Academy Awards? Did Ronald Reagan condone the ole mary jane scene? How many times has Olivia REALLY seen this movie? Tune in to find out!

S1 Ep 84Thelma & Louise
"I want to put some distance between us and the SCENE OF OUR LAST GODDAMNED CRIME!"Did you know that Ridley Scott's best film was made in 1991 and won best screenplay at the 1992 Academy Awards? Did you know it features two ridiculously beautiful and funny performances from the indelible AND exquisite Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon? Did you know this is the first in a FOUR PART series on Flyover Film Girl Bosses??Thelma & Louise is a perfect film. Isaac said it, so it must be true. Olivia also believes it to be perfect, so if you find Isaac's opinion hit or miss, you can take her word for it. It's a joy to pop open a non-alcoholic seltzer on a Tuesday night and chat about a good flick, let alone a perfect flick like this one! It was a treat for the OG Flyover duo to chat about this unique and heartfelt Scott film. Oh also, Walter definitely did not produce this because on the day this was published he became a FATHER! Her name is Thelma Louise Lyle, no joke! Olivia is extremely persuasive, it's the Therapist in her. Congrats Walter on the new family member, and no robbing any gas stations on the way home! No one wants a tag on their toe!

S1 Ep 83Facing the Giants (2006)
listen we recorded this really late at night a few hours before this episode went live. do you really think i'm going to spend any time at all writing a clever and quirky description for this episode AFTER i edited it? no. instead i used chat gpt to write the description this time. i won't edit it a single bit. let's see how it does:Welcome back to another episode of "Isaac, Olivia, and Walter walk into a podcast studio". Today, the trio is discussing the cinematic masterpiece that is "Facing the Giants" - a movie that makes you want to cry, laugh, and hug your nearest football coach.Isaac starts the discussion by gushing about the movie's gripping storyline and inspirational message. Olivia jumps in to agree but can't help but point out the awkward dance scene that had her cringing in her seat. Walter then chimes in with his own observation - "Why does every character in this movie talk like they're auditioning for a Southern Baptist church choir?"As they delve deeper into the movie's plot, they can't help but wonder if the director's intention was to make a sports movie or a religious propaganda piece. Olivia suggests that the main character's miraculous success on the field might have more to do with divine intervention than actual athletic skill.Isaac then reveals that he tried implementing the movie's famous "death crawl" exercise with his own football team, only to realize that it was a terrible idea and ended up with a bunch of teenagers crawling across the field while yelling "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."The conversation gets more and more absurd as they discuss their favorite quotes from the movie, with Walter admitting that he still yells "You gotta give 100%, and don't you quit!" every time he hits the gym.In the end, the three hosts can't help but love this cheesy yet heartwarming movie, even if they can't decide whether it's a sports movie, a religious movie, or just a really long ad for football equipment. Tune in next week for more nonsensical discussions and questionable life advice.

S1 Ep 82My Cousin Vinny
When the left tire mark goes up on the curb and the right tire mark stays flat and even? Well, the '64 Skylark had a solid rear axle, so when the left tire would go up on the curb, the right tire would tilt out and ride along its edge. But that didn't happen here. The tire mark stayed flat and even. This car had an independent rear suspension. Now, in the '60s, there were only two other cars made in America that had positraction, and independent rear suspension, and enough power to make these marks. One was the Corvette, which could never be confused with the Buick Skylark. The other had the same body length, height, width, weight, wheel base, and wheel track as the '64 Skylark, and that was the 1963 Pontiac Tempest.

S1 Ep 812023 Academy Awards
"You do not START without me -- I am the CLOCK!" - Lydia TarThe 95th Academy Awards was also the longest in quite a while, much like this podcast episode! Olivia and Isaac are joined again by Colin and Shelby Lingo to discuss the high highs, funny moments and snubs of the 2023 Oscars. Did Austin Butler really talk like Elvis on the set of Dune: Part 2? Dave Bautista says no, but there's really no way to tell. Colin and Shelby also did way better than us at watching the nominated shorts. They're the real pros on this episode.

S1 Ep 80Cocaine Bear
Much in the same way that Snakes on a Plane asked "what if snakes were on a plane?", Cocaine Bear asked the question that's been burning in everyone's minds for centuries: what if a bear did cocaine? Joined by commercial film maker Cody Granger, the Flyover Crew answers another question everyone has been asking: what if some people did a podcast about movies?

S1 Ep 79BONUS EPISODE - Antman & The Wasp: Quantumania
Listen I didn't even think this movie deserved an episode at all but then Isaac had a unique idea here for this one, so maybe you'll enjoy us each individually rambling about this boring movie. Hopefully, it's more entertaining than the film was.

S1 Ep 78Mississippi Grind
Well, they "phased out" the episode description feature in the online distributor we use to upload our podcast so I have no idea if anyone's going to be able to see this now. Oh, and happy Valentine's Day, I guess!

S1 Ep 77Tree of Life (2011)
Two of our Flyover crew members loved this movie and one didn't--before you listen, can you guess who's who? Today's movie pick is Terrence Malik's Tree of Life, a trippy, introspective, and beautiful discussion on faith, family, trauma, and death. So it's definitely one of our lighter episodes. Right?
