A Conversation With Penguins Jesus ...SEA@PIT 11/05/22 I’m joined on this unseasonably lovely Pittsburgh Saturday afternoon by the one and only Penguins Jesus. Originator of the nickname ‘Big Jeff Carter,’ provider of regularly enjoyable, often hilarious tweets concerning the state of the Penguins hockey club, he takes us on a ride through some fun Penguins history, sharing recollections of: The in-game experience at the old Igloo / Civic Center, the early NHL playing career of one Sidney Patrick Crosby, and of course we discuss the 6-game backslide in which the Penguins find themselves. The current losing streak, tied for the longest in the Mike Sullivan era, has been an early-season stretch in which the team has blown multiple goal leads - a handful of times - coming up totally empty but for one loser’s point in a heartbreaking OT loss to Boston.
