Rob spent part to the winter 1999-2000 working at Grand Slam Outfitters in Key Largo, Florida. He had some basic knowledge of what to pack for fishing there based on watching Saturday morning TV shows, reading books, and working in a fly shop. Everything Rob thought he know about bone fishing and packing for a trip was thrown out the window the first day on the flats boat with Mike Carrier. He spent the next two months learning the ins and outs of flats fishing and here is what he has to share.
