Cs: Ve středu Prahy, v srdci zimního města zabaleného do šedých oblaků, stál Pražský orloj.
En: In the center of Praha, in the heart of the winter city wrapped in gray clouds, stood the Pražský orloj.
Cs: Byl obalen bílými vločkami měkkými jako peří a jeho zlaté ciferníky se leskly po celé staré náměstí.
En: It was covered in white flakes as soft as feathers, and its golden dials gleamed over the entire old square.
Cs: Nejenže ukazoval čas, ale lákal také snílky a turisty svou krásou a tajemstvími.
En: It not only showed time but also attracted dreamers and tourists with its beauty and mysteries.
Cs: Vedle orloje stál Jakub, mladý student historie s ostřížím pohledem.
En: Next to the orloj stood Jakub, a young history student with an eagle-eye gaze.

Cs: Když se ciferníky orloje otočily správným směrem, Václav sklouznul očima skrz sníh a dojatě se usmál.
En: When the dials of the orloj turned in the correct direction, Václav glanced through the snow and smiled emotionally.
Cs: Cítil, že staré zařízení je opět v souladu se staletí starým srdcem města.
En: He felt that the old device was again in harmony with the centuries-old heart of the city.
Cs: Jakub s pocitem vítězství po boku Elišky cítil i něco hlubšího.
