En: Jirka woke up in the morning with excitement.
Cs: Jaro přinášelo teplé počasí a on měl dnes důležitou prezentaci ve škole.
En: Spring was bringing warm weather, and he had an important presentation at school today.
Cs: Oblečený v nové košili se cítil sebevědomě, skoro jako prezidentský kandidát.
En: Dressed in a new shirt, he felt confident, almost like a presidential candidate.
Cs: Ale při oblékání si nevšiml jedné věci - na nohy si obul různorodé boty!
En: But while dressing, he didn't notice one thing - he put on mismatched shoes!
Cs: Když dorazil do školy, projížděla se kolem svěží scénérie.
En: When he arrived at the school, he passed by the fresh scenery.
Cs: Stromy pučely a květy kvetly.
En: Trees were budding, and flowers were blooming.

Cs: Václav a Lenka, jeho blízcí přátelé, si naštěstí zpočátku ničeho nevšimli.
En: Václav and Lenka, his close friends, fortunately didn't notice anything at first.
Cs: Ale věděl, že ti dva jsou velmi všímaví a že to bude jen otázkou času, kdy jeho tajemství odhalí.
En: But he knew that the two were very observant and that it would only be a matter of time before they uncovered his secret.
Cs: Nastal čas na prezentaci v hodině občanské výchovy.
En: The time for the presentation in his civics class came.
Cs: Jirka cítil, jak mu srdce buší.
En: Jirka felt his heart pounding.
Cs: Uvědomoval si, že všechny oči budou upřeny na něj.

Cs: Třída vybuchla smíchem a Jirka rychle zjistil, že ho za to mají ještě radši.
En: The class burst into laughter, and Jirka quickly found that they liked him even more for it.
