Cs: Zima v Praze byla chladná a mlhavá.
En: The winter in Praha was cold and foggy.
Cs: V konferenčním sále dočasné polní nemocnice panovala nervózní atmosféra.
En: A nervous atmosphere prevailed in the conference hall of the temporary field hospital.
Cs: Přes noc propukla chřipková epidemie a nemocnice nestíhala přijímat nové pacienty.
En: An influenza epidemic had broken out overnight, and the hospital was struggling to admit new patients.
Cs: Václav, oddaný zdravotní bratr, pracoval bez přestávky.
En: Václav, a dedicated nurse, worked without a break.
Cs: Nosil světlou uniformu, a přestože byl vyčerpaný, snažil se udržet úsměv na tváři.
En: He wore a light uniform, and although he was exhausted, he tried to keep a smile on his face.
