En: The snow was gently falling on the roofs of Lyon.
Fr: Les flocons recouvraient l'orphelinat d'un manteau blanc et lumineux.
En: The flakes covered the orphanage with a white and bright coat.
Fr: À l'intérieur, Thérèse, une jeune fille de douze ans, regardait par la fenêtre.
En: Inside, Thérèse, a young twelve-year-old girl, was looking out the window.
Fr: Son petit frère, Étienne, jouait avec des cubes en bois.
En: Her little brother, Étienne, was playing with wooden blocks.
