Part of following Jesus involves living a life that withstands persecution. In chapter 12 of Acts, Peter is imprisoned and we see the church begin to earnestly pray. That begs the question...what is earnest prayer? As we investigate the church's response to Peter's imprisonment we see an important lesson about earnest prayer and resisting God.
ACTS: What Makes Us Who We Are?
In 2022 we began a verse-by-verse study through the New Testament Book of Acts. This book records for us the acts of the apostles after the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the formation of the first church. Going through the Book of Acts will help us identify what makes us who we are and helps us chart our course forward.
