God! (Week 3)
Denying the existence of God does not give exemption from His judgment nor exhaust his patience for salvation!Willful abandonment of God leads to judicial abandonment from God.1. A Personal Touch

Come To Terms
God initiates a personal relationship but never negotiates for a personal relationship.God begins the conversation for a personal relationship with grace, but requires a personal act of belief. (Genesis 12:1-3; 15:5-6)The desire to believe God becomes greater than the barriers not to believe.Humility is the way of coming to God on His terms without negotiations (Matthew 18:1-4; Eph. 2:8-9)God wants to get personal.

Christianity - It's Just Personal
A personal relationship with Jesus starts with the heart, not the head.You don't have to answer all the questions or solve religious systems to enter into a personal relationship with God. (John 1:43-46)Jesus knows you personally before you know Him, making love possible and personal. (John 1:47-50; 1 John 4:10)The truth about you and about God become personal.

Prayer Requeest
God forbid that we would pray about everything except God's requests.Pray for the Jewish people to experience peace. (Psalm 122:6)Stand in the gap for all people because these are troubling times. (1 Tim. 2:1)Pray for those in authority so the Gospel can be shared unhindered. (1 Tim. 2:2-4)

Nope! That's not true!
There are some beliefs that are simply wrong. Some of those wrong beliefs have huge eternal consequences.We tend to think of Jesus as he appeeared in a scene from the Bible. (Revelation 1:12-13, 17 NLT)Some people think clicking a button equals prayer. (Philippians 4:6)Some people think that when we die and go to heaven, we become angels. (Romans 8:15-17)Some people think that when we die we'll go to heaven if we've done more good than bad. (Eph. 2:8-9)Some people think they have plenty of time. They can take care of things later. (James 4:13-14) Do it now!

An Urgent Message for Unpredictable Times
There has never been a greater time to share a message of hope and love than now. How do we engage our community and region with the message that will changes lives?Seek the face of God before you face the world. (2 Thess. 1:2-3; Col. 4:2-4)Establish a Christian presense as we move among people in the marketplace, the workplace, the neighborhood, and the sports arena. (1 Thess.)Commit to be an army, not just an audience.

Let's Talk
Prayer is a simple conversation between God and His child. (Matthew 6:9 ESV)Prayer is not about ritual or repetition. Prayer is a humble, honest conversation because of the relationship with our heavenly Father. (Matt. 6:5-8 ESV)The power of prayer does not depend on how we pray. It depends on the heavenly father who hears the prayers. (Hebrews 4:16; 1 John 3:1 NLT)We can talk to our heavenly Father about our hopes and hurts, our burdens and blessings, and our sins and struggles! Just have the convesation daily and deliberately!

Love Lasts Forever
God's love does not have a shelf life."Love never fails." 1 Cor. 13:8We can do nothing to make God love us more and we can do nothing to cause God to love us less. (1 John 4:10, Deut. 7:7-8)God has chosen to love us perfectly. We can chose to love others graciously. ( John 4:9-11)Love is willing to give mor than it gets.

Love Always
Love always makes a way. (1 Cor. 13:7)Love will find a way to protect life, character, relationships, and purpose...even at great cost. (Luke 15:20; 1 Peter 4:8)Love will find ways to speak confidence and strength into others. (Luke 15:22; Ephesians 4:29)Love is forever optimistic, believing God changes people and circumstances that touch our lives. (Luke 15:23)Love refuses to give up on others no matter the battle that is being faced or the brokenness felt. (Luke 15:24)

True Love
True love is more than a feeling, it is choosing to do good to and for others.Love does not celebrate when bad things happen to other people. (1 Cor. 13:6) "No one getts what they deserve or we would all be in trouble."Love cheers when the truth changes lives. (1 Cor. 13:6; 1 John 4:10)Be grateful for those who truly love you.Be grateful for our God who loves us perfectly.

Lose The List
When we focus on a list of wrongs we lose focus on everything and everyone that is right. Keeping a list of others wrongs solves nothing and can sour our lives. (1 Cor. 13:5)Keeping a record conveys the idea of dwelling, pondering, and focusing on, which results in a major impact on our lives.Focus on what can make life sweet. (Phil. 4:8)God lost our list expressing amazing grace providing power to let go of our list. (Ps. 130:3-4; Col. 2:14)Make a new list. Keep a record of God's grace, forgiveness, and blessing in our lives.

Everyone's Angry!
Love is not easily angered...but people are!1 Cor. 13:5 says love is not provoked (CSB), touchy (TLB), irritable (NLT), quick tempered (CEV), easily angered (NIV), doesn't fly off the handle (MSG).Anger is part of real life. How we process it can be hurtful or healing. (Eph. 4:26)Anger resulting from rejection can find relief in acceptance. (1 Tim. 1:16)

It Is Not About Me
Love builds relationships; selfishness breaks relationships.(1 Cor. 13:5)Selfishness is always a "me first" attitude that excludes others and hurts everyone. (James 3:16)Love is about what you can give, not just what you can get. (Phil. 2:3-4)God doesn't want us to have just a consumer attitude. He wants us to have a community attitude.

Being Independent
Dependent on God (2 Cor. 1:8-9, Ps. 73:26)Dependent on Jesus (John 15:5)Dependent on the Holy Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23, Romans 15:13)Dependent on the Saints (Eph. 6:18, 1 Tim. 2:1)Will you be intentionally dependent today?

Love Is Not...
Sometimes, the best way to know what love is would be to describe what love is not. (1 Cor. 13:4)We are not better than others, just better off because of God's love and grace. (Phil. 2:3, 5-8)Love does not hog the spotlight. Love shines the light on others. (Romans 12:10)Accept our part in God's plan without being arrogant. (Romans 12:3)Everyone can feel important, but no one should act important!

Love Is Not Rude
Courtesy counts in everything and to everyone, especially dad.Rudeness is disgraceful behavior that communicates disrespect. (1 Cor. 13:5)Courteous conduct honors Christ and communicates respect. (Col. 4:5-6)People make decisions about Christ by watching us!

Love Has Limits
There are some places love will not go.Love does not envy the success and blessings of others. (1 Cor. 13:4)Love celebrates the good experiences and the joyful events with others. (Romans 12:10)
