S9 Ep 1432Episode 1432: 03-01-26 Blended Worship Service, Audio
Dr. Brian Hill (Senior Pastor), "Lessons From James: Faith & Works", Orchestra, Choir, Blended Worship Praise Team (8:45 Service). 14. What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15. Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17. In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. 18. But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. 19. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder. 20. You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless 21. Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22. You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. 23. And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend. 24. You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone. 25. In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? 26. As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. S9 Ep 1428Episode 1428: 02-22-26 Modern Worship Service, Audio
Dr. Brian Hill (Senior Pastor), "Lessons From James: No Favorites", Children's Time, Modern Worship Praise Team (11:15 Service). 1. My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism. 2. Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in filthy old clothes also comes in. 3. If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, “Here’s a good seat for you,” but say to the poor man, “You stand there” or “Sit on the floor by my feet,” 4. have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts? 5. Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? 6. But you have dishonored the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court? 7. Are they not the ones who are blaspheming the noble name of him to whom you belong? 8. If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing right. 9. But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers. 10. For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. 11. For he who said, “You shall not commit adultery,” also said, “You shall not murder.” 11. If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker. 12. Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, 13. because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment. S9 Ep 1422Episode 1422: 02-15-26 Modern Worship Service, Audio
Cory Morgan (Pastor of Modern Worship & Young Adults), "At All Costs", Modern Worship Praise Team (11:15Service). 17. On one of those days, as he was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there, who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with him to heal. 18. And behold, some men were bringing on a bed a man who was paralyzed, and they were seeking to bring him in and lay him before Jesus, 19. but finding no way to bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and let him down with his bed through the tiles into the midst before Jesus. 20. And when he saw their faith, he said, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.” 21. And the scribes and the Pharisees began to question, saying, “Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?” 22. When Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answered them, “Why do you question in your hearts? 23. Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Rise and walk’? 24. But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the man who was paralyzed—“I say to you, rise, pick up your bed and go home.” 25. And immediately he rose up before them and picked up what he had been lying on and went home, glorifying God. 26. And amazement seized them all, and they glorified God and were filled with awe, saying, “We have seen extraordinary things today.” (Luke 6:17-26 ESV)To view the video version of the Modern Worship Service please click on the following link: https://youtu.be/lHmBTWCKvRQ(The audio version of the Modern Worship Service will most likely have to be stopped from playing or else it will be heard as well as the audio track of the video version.)

Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. 27. Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. Dr. Brian Hill (Senior Pastor), "Lessons From James: Live With Focus", Modern Worship Praise Team (11:15 Service). 19. My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20. because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. 21. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. 22. Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24. and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.
