What is the Ethereum Shanghai update all about? The Shanghai Update is essentially a part of the completion of Ethereum's journey of switching from Proof-of-Work to Proof-of-Stake. With the Shanghai Update, $ETH stakers will now be able to withdraw their $ETH staking rewards.
This is massive since this signals that Ethereum matures at an insanely rapid speed. It is a de-risking event for $ETH since people now have the confidence to be able to withdraw their $ETH after staking. This is especially interesting in the context of institutions.
