Episode 322: Game Of The Year 2021 - Part One
EIt's time once again for Tommy, Ben and Adam to huddle around the Game of the Year Tree and open 10 presents in ascending order of quality (plus honourable stocking stuffers) as yet another year drifts away into memory. Which games will officially be crowned "Good" here at the end of 2021? Which games won't make the cut, only to reveal how it felt to be snubbed ten years from now in a Howard Stern interview? It's all here (except for the bits that we cover in the second part next week). Happy holidays everybody! You can now purchase the full 3 hour video of our October Live Show we did at gumroad.com/filthycasuals, which included a Filthy Drinking Game and an hour of Quiplash with the audience, for just $5!You can head over to our YouTube channel to watch videos of us playing games, like this video here where we're playing that Matrix tech demo.Patreon - weekly bonus episodes and secret Filthy groupBandcamp Premium EpisodesYouTube - including live streams and Let's PlaysTwitch Hosted on Acast. Episode 321: The Game Awards 2021
EYou want huge announcements and big, prestigious awards? Then look forward to next week when the first part of the Filthy Casuals Game of the Year celebrations begins. In the meantime, there's some show on YouTube or whatever called "The Game Awards" that we watched, I guess we can talk about that. Seems like a pretty brazen copy of what we're up to over here at Filthy HQ, but we'll let these upstarts do their thing. You can head over to our YouTube channel to watch videos of us playing games, like this video here where we're playing that Matrix tech demo.Patreon - weekly bonus episodes and secret Filthy groupBandcamp Premium EpisodesYouTube - including live streams and Let's PlaysTwitch Hosted on Acast. Episode 320: Halo Infinite, Solar Ash
EHalo Infinite has been in development for pretty much the entire time we've been recording Filthy Casuals, so in a way, this episode is what the entire run of the podcast has been building up to. In another, more accurate way, that is not the case. Either way, we talk about Halo: Infinite! Tommy, Ben and Adam have all played it, and they also talk a little Solar Ash, Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain, and more! You can head over to our YouTube channel to watch videos of us playing games, like this one of us playing some Halo.Patreon - weekly bonus episodes and secret Filthy groupBandcamp Premium EpisodesYouTube - including live streams and Let's PlaysTwitch Hosted on Acast. Episode 319: Halo: Combat Evolved, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
EBen's first time playing Halo: Combat Evolved, Tommy's first time playing Pokemon: (Brilliant) Diamond and (Shining) Pearl, and Adam's first time playing guy who hasn't really played anything this week, as we round up some of the games we've been dipping into lately before the big holiday awards bonanza weeks kick off. This along with a bit of Mario Party Superstars, Animal Crossing, Halo: Infinite multiplayer, a pinch of sugar, some flat tap dance denialism, and a whole lot of love make up the rest of the method to cook yourselves one tasty episode of Filthy Casuals. Episode 318: Shin Megami Tensei V, Multiversus Trailer
EThree huge franchises finally brought together in the ultimate cross-intellectual-property, high-brand-awareness, synergistic-marketing opportunity. First, you've got the hero of the Tommy Man films himself: Tommy. When he's not quipping, he's fighting crime and quipping. He's here to do battle with Bugs Benny, wacky cartoon rabbit with the famous catch phrase we all know and love: "ehhh...what's a matter you?". Joining the classic cartoon and cool crime fighter we are pleased to also announce that entering the fray will be Adam Knox from the hit An Extra In One Sketch From The Show The ABC Made Last Year Called At Home Alone Together But It's Actually Only Been Put Up As A Bonus On YouTube, It Never Actually Aired On The Show Itself franchise. With characters this huge all colliding, how will they find the time to also talk about Shin Megami Tensei V, Slay The Spire, Solitairica, and even some news? Listen to the podcast please, that is clearly the way to find out.You can head over to our YouTube channel to watch videos of us playing games, like this one of us playing some Halo.Patreon - weekly bonus episodes and secret Filthy groupBandcamp Premium EpisodesYouTube - including live streams and Let's PlaysTwitch Hosted on Acast. Episode 317: Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: Definitive Edition, Halo Infinite Multiplayer, Elden Ring Network Test
EBetween Halo Infinite, Elden Ring and the GTA remasters, we get to talk about three games in early beta release this week! Now, after reading an absolute roasting like that, surely you'd like to wash it down with a nice podcast? Well may I recommend the podcast which this particular description is itself for, episode 317 of Filthy Casuals with Tommy Dassalo, Ben Vernel and Adam Knox? You'll take a bottle? Very good choice, my friend. I'll be right back with some water for the table. Episode 316: Forza Horizon 5 Review, Call of Duty Vanguard Review
ELadies and gentlemen, start your engines! Video game development engines that is. It's time for big games to come out and big podcast episodes to be made about them. We talk Forza, we talk CoD, we talk Elden Ring, we talk some more Inscryption, we talk to each other about all of this and more. I truly believe that you would be well within your rights to claim that Tommy, Ben and Adam love video games. You can head over to our YouTube channel to watch videos of us playing games, like our first impressions of the new GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition.Patreon - weekly bonus episodes and secret Filthy groupBandcamp Premium EpisodesYouTube - including live streams and Let's PlaysTwitch Hosted on Acast. Episode 315: Unpacking, Age of Empires IV & Inscryption Reviews
This week we had so much to talk about, we barely had room to put it all in the episode! We took some news about Meta and the Oculus port of GTA: San Andreas and placed that lovingly near the start along with a chat about Netflix Games. We carefully removed our review of Age of Empires IV from bubblewrap and placed it on the mantel, Ben showed everyone his very late review of Wolfensten II: The New Colossus before returning it to plastic wrapping, Adam dug aroundat the bottom of a box for his review of new card game Inscryption, and all three of the boys lift with their knees and carry a big review of new indie game Unpacking into the podcast. Lots to un... ravel there. You can head over to our YouTube channel to watch videos of us playing games, like Part 1 of our Detroit: Become Human playthrough!Patreon - weekly bonus episodes and secret Filthy groupBandcamp Premium EpisodesYouTube - including live streams and Let's PlaysTwitch Hosted on Acast. Episode 314: Resident Evil 4 VR Review, Guardians of the Galaxy First Impressions
EHey... we got this. This being an episode of the podcast Filthy Casuals where we talk about the trailer for the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: Definitive Edition and the recent Sony State of Play presentation, review Resident Evil 4 VR, give a little taste of what Adam thinks about Guardians of the Galaxy so far, and even more on top of all of this. We're back in the same room and we're showing a brazen disregard for not providing content, by providing it.You can head over to our YouTube channel to watch videos of us playing games, like this spooky game about a scary clown. Episode 313: Diablo II Resurrected, DC Fandome Trailers
EA brief reprieve in the end of year video game deluge, but there's news aplenty still gushing through the gutters as we desperately try to bail out the information-water that is flooding the podcast, which is I suppose a boat? Whatever we are, we're talking video games. Live breaking news of the leaked Uncharted trailer hits us mid-record, we talk Switch Online pricing controversy, PC ports of PlayStation games, Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League, Gotham Knights and have the absolute stones to review Tetris Effect Connected, Beast Breaker and Diablo II Resurrected. Take that, metaphorical water from the first sentence. You'll never soggy THIS podcast. You can check out Fortress Melbourne's website for info on the upcoming tournament that we're hostingYou can head over to our YouTube channel to watch videos of us playing games, like one where Adam tries to speedrun Metroid without having ever played it, part 2 of which will be up soon!Patreon - weekly bonus episodes and secret Filthy groupBandcamp Premium EpisodesYouTube - including live streams and Let's PlaysTwitch Hosted on Acast. Episode 312: Far Cry 6 Review, Metroid Dread Review, OLED Switch
EVideo games are officially being released, and we are officially talking about them. Ask anyone if we do an OLED Switch review, a Metroid Dread review, a Far Cry 6 review, and our first impressions on Alan Wake Remastered in this week's episode, and you know what they'll tell you? That's right, the answer is that you don't know what they'll tell you because human beings are complicated and unpredictable. But regardless of their response, you can rest easy knowing that those things are in fact the truth behind the content contained in this episode. It's the real deal. So they can keep their unknowable minds and their chaotic natures because whatever may happen: you know. You know exactly what's in this episode of Filthy Casuals. And that's enough.Tickets to our October 16/17 LIVE ZOOM ONLINE LIVE SHOW PARTY are available here for just $10AUD: https://www.trybooking.com/BUNHAYou can check out Fortress Melbourne's website for info on the upcoming tournament that we're hostingYou can head over to our YouTube channel to watch videos of us playing games, including a new series where we are playing The Sims, but stupidly.Patreon - weekly bonus episodes and secret Filthy groupBandcamp Premium EpisodesYouTube - including live streams and Let's PlaysTwitch Hosted on Acast. Episode 311: Free Guy Review
EThis week we talk about the talkies by reviewing the video game movie and Ryan Reynolds vehicle Free Guy. Ryan Reynolds vehicle as in it is a vehicle for driving his career forward, not a literal vehicle. We don't review the literal Ryan Reynolds of vehicles, which would be probably like a second hand Camry? Not sure. Let me know in the comments! Bit of fun, trying to figure out what vehicle is most similar to Ryan Reynolds. Haha! Sound like fun to me! Also the Twitch leak news, and some other bits and pieces of news from the world of, get this, video games.Tickets to our October 16/17 LIVE ZOOM ONLINE LIVE SHOW PARTY are available here for just $10AUD: https://www.trybooking.com/BUNHAYou can head over to our YouTube channel to watch videos of us playing games, including a new series where we are playing The Sims, but stupidly.Patreon - weekly bonus episodes and secret Filthy groupBandcamp Premium EpisodesYouTube - including live streams and Let's PlaysTwitch Hosted on Acast. Episode 310: Sable, Death Stranding Director's Cut, Mario Movie Casting
The pastel desert stretches out before you. The hum of your hover-bike's engine is the only sound aside from the soft swish of the wind. You look up and see a winding tower, cast in shadow as the hot sun shines right behind it. You slowly begin the climb. Hours later, you haul yourself up over the precipice of the tower's top, and cast your gaze across the beautiful vista, coming to rest upon... three grown men yelling about video games. That's right cunnies, your Filthy boys are back talking games as we cover new indie Sable, the Outer Wilds' DLC, Death Stranding's new Director's Cut, Eastward thoughts and of course all the Mario casting analysis you'd expect from three kind and knowledgeable boys. Hope you enjoy!Tickets to our October 16/17 LIVE ZOOM ONLINE LIVE SHOW PARTY are available here for just $10AUD: https://www.trybooking.com/BUNHAYou can head over to our YouTube channel to watch videos of us playing games, including a new series where we are playing The Sims, but stupidly.Patreon - weekly bonus episodes and secret Filthy groupBandcamp Premium EpisodesYouTube - including live streams and Let's PlaysTwitch Hosted on Acast. Episode 309: Deathloop Review
EIt feels like a new time loop game comes out every day :) This time it's Deathloop and Tommy, Ben and Adam talk at length about why they reckon it's good. Also a little on Eastward, tomorrow's Nintendo Direct, and more. We've got a full episode with a spoiler-free review of Deathloop, and then after the end we turn off the lights, put the kids to bed, bang our knee on a coffee table, turn the lights back on, swear in front of our kids who haven't gone to bed yet, tell them they shouldn't say the bad word we just said, tell them because we said so, that's why, put them back to bed, turn the lights back off, close the curtains, bang our knee on the coffee table again, sit down in no mood for a bonus spoiler-filled Sealed Section at the end of the podcast, but do it anyway because this is the only damn time we get to ourselves, wonder whether we rushed into this parenting thing, pass out on the couch, wake up startled at 6am to see the carpet covered in jam because the kids tried to make breakfast, and start the loop all over again. Please enjoy. You can head over to our YouTube channel to watch videos of us playing games, including a new series where we are playing The Sims, but stupidly.Adam's streaming on Twitch regularly, you can follow his Twitch channel here.Patreon - weekly bonus episodes and secret Filthy groupBandcamp Premium EpisodesYouTube - including live streams and Let's PlaysTwitch Hosted on Acast. Episode 308: WarioWare: Get It Together Review, PlayStation Showcase
EWhen you really think about, isn't life a long series of short and confusing puzzles and challenges that repeat at random until you eventually die? Wow, WarioWare. You are deep. Also deep is the level of examination we give to last week's PlayStation showcase, as well as talking about some other things. Razer Finger Sleeves anyone? No? Ok, well just the rest of the episode then. Episode 307: The Forgotten City Review, Sonic Colours Ultimate
EThis week Adam reviews the recent Skyrim mod turned full on game The Forgotten City, developed by some people from the forgotten City Of Melbourne, Tommy reviews The Forgotten Wii Sonic Game Called Sonic Colours That For Some Reason Has Gotten A Remaster, Ben joins them in talking about some news like Sony Forgetting That They Promised Something To Cities Worth Of People And Then Backflipping On It, The Undertaker Forgetting He Is Retired And Making An Interactive Netflix, and some other stuff happens in the episode that I've Forgotten About. Episode 305: Twelve Minutes Review (No Spoilers)
EI've been writing this episode description every day for the equivalent of 10,000 years. The day keeps repeating, I try to write the description again, and every night the whole day starts again. I just can't get this description right. I've tried listing what games we talk about, like 12 Minutes, Humankind, the Quake remaster, the Ghost of Tsushima update. I've tried explaining that we talk about a couple of the things that have come out of Gamescom. I've tried writing a little joke description where maybe I'm writing about the episode as though I'm like, I dunno, a dog who is also in the house of the person who's listening and the dog is giving it a bad review because there aren't enough high pitched noises, but he does like Tommy's voice. I've even tried writing it out as a little meta joke like I'm fucken Rick and Morty over here. None of it has worked. Please, don't let me wake up in this hell again. I don't want to write another description. I just want to live. Oh also a bit about the WarioWare demo. You can head over to our YouTube channel to watch videos of us playing games. Episode 304: Garden Story, Islanders, Pokemon Legends Arceus Trailer
ENow here's a little story all about how, I dug some soil up with a trowel, now I'd like to plant a cactus, maybe right there, and tell you how I became a garden having guy... in Bel-Air. This week Tommy tells Ben and Adam about Garden Story, Ben tells Tommy and Adam about Islanders and Boyfriend Dungeon, Adam tells Ben and Tommy about the 2004 Tom Cruise film Collateral, and all three boys tell each other about the trailer for Pokemon Legends: Arceus. And you can tell your friends about it if you like! They can have us tell them about all of these things through the medium of podcasting. It's all a big happy circle. Episode 303: Indie World Showcase, The Ascent
EIn the world of music, a presentation full of nothing but new projects from Indie artists would be the most terrifying event I could picture myself suffering through. In the world of video games, it's pretty cool! We have a look at a whole stack of new and soon to come indie games from the Nintendo showcase, including Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, Toem, Garden Story, Metal Slug Tactics, Eastward and more. We also go into The Ascent, the Ariana Grande Fortnite concert, the fantastic RetroTink 5x Pro, and more. You can head over to YouTube now or click these links to watch our videos of the Ariana Grande Fortnite Concert and The Ascent. We're doing a live show on the 7th of October at Comedy Republic in Melbourne, and you can book tickets right now through this link!Adam's streaming on Twitch regularly, you can follow his Twitch channel here.Patreon - weekly bonus episodes and secret Filthy groupBandcamp Premium EpisodesYouTube - including live streams and Let's PlaysTwitch Hosted on Acast. Episode 302: 2021 Mid-Year Review
We're halfway through the year baby! And then a little bit extra through the year on top of that but y'know, around half. And then means it's time to take stock and look back at what's come so far, and look forward to what's on its way. Looking backwards and forwards rapidly, trying to keep an eye on both on the same time, but injuring our necks by swinging our heads wildly from side to side. While recovering in our neck braces, we can reminisce about this episode of Filthy Casuals, which looked at some of the biggest bangers of 2021 so far and pretty much all of the best that is still to come for the second leg. Happy 5th of August everyone, the exact midpoint of the year!We competed in the Tokyo Olympics with our good friends Mario & Sonic, and you can watch the video of us doing that by following this link. We're doing a live show on the 7th of October at Comedy Republic in Melbourne, and you can book tickets right now through this link!Adam's streaming on Twitch regularly, you can follow his Twitch channel here. - Patreon - weekly bonus episodes and secret Filthy group - Bandcamp Premium Episodes - YouTube - including live streams and Let's Plays - Twitch Hosted on Acast. Episode 301: Death's Door Review, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles
You may be the judge of this courtroom, big anime beard guy, but when all is said and done there is no greater judge than Death. That is why this week we're talking Death's Door and The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles. It's not because they just both came out this week, it's because of the very deep and insightful connection between them that we've identified in that first sentence there. If you don't think it's deep it's because you don't actually get it, ok? It's super deep. Also Microsoft Flight Simulator on the Xbox and some news. Those are also connected somehow. We played some of said Flight Simulator, flying from Melbourne, Australia to Tokyo, Japan, and you can watch that video over on our YouTube channel via this connecting flight (link). Episode 300: Skyward Sword HD Review, Steam Deck, Netflix Gaming
All that's old is new again. Sure, we've played Skyward Sword before, but not in HD or with the game assuming that we would like to solve the puzzles ourselves. Sure, we've played PC games before, but not in a nice little handheld (other than the PC handhelds that have come out before, but like I say this one is nice). Hey, we've played Bandersnatch on Netflix, but we haven't forced ourselves to play whatever new "games" they decide to put out. And yeah, we've listened to episodes of Filthy Casuals before. But have we listened to the 300th episode before? My friend, we are about to.We played another old Zelda game on YouTube, The Wand of Gamelon, and you can watch it at this link right here. Episode 299: Monster Hunter Stories 2 Review, Top 10 PC Games
Tommy's been playing Monster Hunter Stories 2 on the Switch, so it's time for Ben and Adam to take him to school. Computer school. It's the school where everybody gets beaten up and there's nobody outside at lunchtime. The teachers are all a bit creepy and the students are somehow a bit creepier. The school bus? A serial bus. The hall monitor? A G-sync monitor. The hat you wear when you graduate? A motherboard. The classrooms? They're all um, RAM. It's computer school. Specifically, it's the class when Tommy gets taken through Ben and Adam's picks for the most important PC games that he might have missed in his years without a "rig". Rig is a term I learned in computer school. We're doing a live show on the 7th of October at Comedy Republic in Melbourne, and you can book tickets right now through this link!We played some old and new Space Jam games on YouTube, in a video you can watch by clicking this link right here.Adam's streaming on Twitch regularly, you can follow his Twitch channel here.Patreon - weekly bonus episodes and secret Filthy groupBandcamp Premium EpisodesYouTube - including live streams and Let's PlaysTwitch Hosted on Acast. Episode 298: Nintendo Switch OLED Model, Prodeus, Cruelty Squad
Cruelty Squad is a twisted throwback to the early 2000s style of large scale, emergent FPS; a deliberately bizarre and uncomfortable game that tries its hardest to baffle, confuse, unsettle and upset you. And it doesn't even come close to achieving that as effectively as Nintendo's announcement of the new OLED Switch. We talk about both on this episode, as well as the fun Early Access Doom-clone Prodeus, and a little bit more, I dare wager. We're doing a live show on the 7th of October at Comedy Republic in Melbourne, and you can book tickets right now through this link! We're playing through Operation Tango, and you can watch it on our YouTube channel at this playlist link right here!Adam's streaming on Twitch regularly, you can follow his Twitch channel here.Patreon - weekly bonus episodes and secret Filthy groupBandcamp Premium EpisodesYouTube - including live streams and Let's PlaysTwitch Hosted on Acast. Episode 297: Mario Golf: Super Rush Review, Sable Demo
18 holes? What is this, a DONUT SHOP? Now, while I don't want you to stop enjoying that enormous laugh that you're definitely in the midst of right now, I would like to talk to you about something that is, in fact, not a joke. The fact that donuts do not have holes. A donut is a ring, and therefore the "hole" in the centre is a natural aspect of the shape. While the term "hole" would be appropriate for describing a chunk taken out of the centre of your jam-filled variety of donut perhaps, it is not suitable for describing the space in the middle of the traditional ring-shaped donut any more than for describing the entire space surrounding said donut. The space in the centre is the same as the space anywhere other than the centre: parts of the world which are not the inhabited by the shape. If you need any further clarification on this, please don't hesitate to ask. In this podcast we review Mario Golf: Super Rush, talk about the Sable demo, and discuss Tommy's new gaming PC.Intro - 0:00Getting a PC - 9:20Sable Demo - 15:30Mario Golf: Super Rush - 28:04More getting a PC stuff - 50:36We're doing a live show on the 7th of October at Comedy Republic in Melbourne, and you can book tickets right now through this link!We play through 9 holes of Mario Golf: Super Rush on the latest video on our YouTube channel. Episode 296: Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Review, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intermission Review
Video games are officially good, and we prove it this week with reviews of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Final Fantasy VII Intermission DLC and the Intergrade update for PS5, Nintendo's new intro to game design Game Builder Garage, and wish a happy birthday to the Game Boy Advance. I've since learned that it was also the Nintendo 64's birthday and we said nothing. Must be pretty upsetting to be a Nintendo 64 today. Perhaps the graphics were so blurry because of the tears welling up in its eyes. I'm sorry, Nintendo 64. Many happy returns. This episode brought to you by MANSCAPED! Episode 294: Top 5 E3 Predictions
E3 is just around the corner so this episode we're doing that thing where the 3 people all peak around a corner at the same time and they're all at different heights. You know that thing, like in The Little Rascals and things like that? Like they'd all have to be really weirdly contorted behind the wall they're peering around to even be able to all look at once. I guess one crouches, one is sort of doing it normally, but then the other one has to be really tall and ideally have a natural L shaped curve to them. Not many people like that out there. The Little Rascals were a bunch of freaks. Episode 292: Biomutant Review
A biographical mutant, or biomutant (/ˈbaɪoʊmjuːtənt;[1] abbreviation for biographical mutated creature), is a film that dramatizes the life of a non-fictional or historically-based mutant or mutants. Such films show the life of a historical mutant and the central mutant's real name is used.[2] They differ from documutant films and historical mutant films in that they attempt to comprehensively tell a single mutant's life story or at least the most historically important years of their lives.0:00 - Intro2:15 - Biomutant Review31:09 - There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension38:23 - The Room VR & Manifold Garden40:50 - Tiger Trio44:40 - Returnal56:38 - Miitopia59:25 - Resident Evil 71:00:04 - Very brief news stuffPatreon - weekly bonus episodes and secret Filthy groupBandcamp Premium EpisodesYouTube - including live streams and Let's PlaysTwitch Hosted on Acast. Episode 291: Mass Effect Legendary Edition, Famicom Detective Club
Anime and aliens this week as we dive into two remasters on vastly different scales with Famicom Detective Club on the Switch and Mass Effect Legendary Edition on every other console. Whether you want to live in 1980s Japan or a vast galactic network of planets populated by multiple space-faring species, we've got you covered. And don't pretend it's not a choice between one of those two things. You're listening to a video games podcast, and as someone who listens to and makes video games podcasts, I can promise you that each and every one of us wishes we could live in either 1980s Japan or space. It's only between those two. Sorry, but that's who we are.Patreon - weekly bonus episodes and secret Filthy groupBandcamp Premium EpisodesYouTube - including live streams and Let's PlaysTwitch Hosted on Acast. Episode 290: Resident Evil Village Review
Puzzling, horrific, and a guarantee that you'll get some action. That's right, it's a description of Tommy Dassalo, Ben Vernel and Adam Knox respectively. This week they have a big old Resident Evil 8 chat, including a spoiler-free review followed by a spoiler-filled optional Sealed Section at the end. Whether you're in the UK where R.E. means Religious Education and Resi means Resident Evil, or in the USA where R.E. means Resident Evil and Resi means nothing, or somewhere else in the world where maybe neither mean anything or maybe both mean something, I don't know I'm not particularly well travelled, I truly hope that you enjoy this episode. Episode 288: Mortal Kombat (2021) Review
Mortal Kombat's second surge in popularity means Hollywood's third attempt at a Mortal Kombat movie, and Tommy, Ben and Adam have seen it, formed thoughts on it, figured out how to express those thoughts, and then committed those explanations to public record in the form of this podcast. Even if they had to do it over Zoom again because of a snap lockdown, they got it done. It's that kind of podcasting spirit that really makes you proud to be a podcast description, which I am. Also they chat about the news of the week including everything from 3DS games to assassination attempts. Truly, in this podcast description's opinion, this episode has it all.Patreon - weekly bonus episodes and secret Filthy groupBandcamp Premium EpisodesYouTube - including live streams and Let's PlaysTwitch Hosted on Acast. Episode 285: Disco Elysium The Final Cut Review
A reprehensible drunk with full-blown amnesia talks to Ben and Tommy about Disco Elysium. Honestly, there's no way you can argue with content like that. It's good by-line content, in my opinion. Speaking of good content, we've got a bunch of interesting news this week, Tommy's thoughts after having dived into Monster Hunter Rise himself, and of course the main course which is a long chat about the improved re-release of Disco Elysium.Patreon - weekly bonus episodes and secret Filthy groupBandcamp Premium EpisodesYouTube - including live streams and Let's PlaysTwitch Hosted on Acast. EOn an episode where we discuss a chunk of Bethesda's catalogue being added to Xbox Gamepass and Sony giving away 10 games for free, the most "pro-consumer" thing still manages to be... Adam Knox, who reviews his new Xbox wireless headphones. The boys also chat about early access game Teardown and Tommy and Ben dig into Yakuza: Like A Dragon! This episode is supported by MANSCAPED! Episode 281: Maquette, Blind Drive
A seemingly small model which reveals itself to have a surprising depth and enormity after you have come to terms with the fact that you have ended up inside it. That's right, it's Ben Vernel, and he's here with Tommy Dassalo and Adam Knox to review Maquette and Blind Drive, as well as discuss the news of the week such as even more Switch Pro rumours and burned down Rust servers. One of us likes Maquette, one of us doesn’t, and the other is in the middle. Episode 280: Sony State of Play, Pokemon 25th Anniversary, World's End Club
You might be expecting me to write here a thing about some high schoolers being stuck in a deadly game where only one of them can survive, and I go on about it for a bit making it seem like I'm talking about World's End Club, but at the end it turns around and is actually an absurd description of the recording process of this podcast. Is that what you were expecting? Well too bad, buddy. Sure, we talk about World's End Club this week, as well as the Sony and Pokemon presentations. But ALSO, Ben's played the demo of the System Shock remaster, so what if I wanted to make the description a thing about that? Well I don't. I want to do the World's End Club one. But, out of space now. Splatoon. Anime girls. Breath of the Wild. Three of Tommy’s most used Pornhub search terms, and coincidentally three things that were sort of featured in the latest Nintendo Direct. Episode 276: The Medium, Destruction All-Stars
EI just did a ouija board and the ghost told me that you'd better listen to Filthy Casuals with Tommy Dassalo, Ben Vernel and Adam Knox this week. I know, it's so spooky! The ghost said that, um, they talk about The Medium and Destruction All-Stars, and um, that they also talk about, um, whatever game you would like to hear and that it's the best podcast for that particular topic. No, the ghost said it, not me. Also they talk about the GameStop news because that's sort of like video game news and some other news and um they tell you um yeah like how to deal with that problem you've been having lately. No it's true, again, the ghost told me this. Why are you calling me a con-artist? I talk to ghosts.
