National Geographic celebrates the 50th anniversary of the blockbuster film JAWS, with the release of the new documentary "JAWS @ 50: THE DEFINITIVE INSIDE STORY" -- airs July 10 at 9/8c on National Geographic and streams the next day on Disney+ and Hulu.
The 90-minute documentary offers an in-depth look at the making and lasting impact of the summer blockbuster that revolutionized cinema and altered our relationship with sharks. Interviews from director Steven Spielberg. Plus, never-before-seen footage from Spielberg’s archives, along with interviews with some of Hollywood’s top filmmakers--J.J. Abrams, George Lucas, Jordan Peele, Guillermo del Toro, along with testimonials from author Peter Benchley’s family, shark experts and the original cast and crew members from the very first JAWS film. Jaws @50 is directed/produced by our guest Laurent Bouzereau.
