We’re spotlighting one of the most talked‑about new films on the festival circuit, 96 Pounds of Dynamite. The documentary profiles Chad “Shorty” McDaniel, a genetically diminutive man–in stature only–who didn’t let his health condition, osteogenesis imperfecta/brittle bone disease, define him. He’s a celebrity in the billiards world. Chad has become a pool champion in the world of billiards. In fact, billiards/pool legend Jeanette Lee, aka 'Black Widow' is the executive producer of the film. This documentary explores the many highs, lows and perseverance of Shorty's life. Chad and the film's director Loren Goldfarb talk about their inspiring new film, which will be premiering at the Cinequest Film Festival.
