Jimmy in Saigon is a poignant documentary directed by our guest Peter McDowell, the film explores the life and mysterious death of his older brother, Jimmy McDowell, a Vietnam veteran who died in Saigon in 1972. The film chronicles Peter's decade-long quest to uncover the truths surrounding Jimmy's life, including his struggles with drug use and his hidden sexuality. As Peter investigates, he reveals family secrets and the emotional impact of Jimmy's choices on their family, particularly given that Peter was only five years old when Jimmy passed away. Jimmy in Saigon has won awards in film festivals throughout the world, that includes London, Greece and Ireland.
