"Immunocompromised" and "immunosuppressed" are familiar terms now, but they are also umbrellas for many different health situations. The CDC estimates that 7 million U.S. adults are moderately to severely immunocompromised. As the U.S. death toll surpasses 800,000 and the omicron variant rises, the most vulnerable in our communities remind us that good health is never a guarantee.
