Maksym Dubkov, a Ukrainian graduate student who spoke to Fifth & Mission shortly after Russia's Feb. 24 invasion of Ukraine, paused his graduate studies to return home over the summer. He founded a volunteer organization to provide humanitarian aid to the areas most affected by the war.
