Simon compares this to how others change their names. The age of Abraham and Sarah, may have not been 99 and 90, but still past the age of child bearing. Fr. Simon shares a dream that he had where he was a bishop, and that he woke up feeling glad that it was just a dream. Also, he shares that the priesthood is broken.
