Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah.
We come to the fifth of the points that Ibrahim A. Ibrahim A. mentioned.
The reasons why dua is not accepted.
And the fifth was he said, you say that you desire Jannah, but you do not work for it.
That you say you desire Jannah, but you don't work for it.
You have known Allah, but you do not fulfill his rights.
You read the book of Allah, but you do not live by it.
You claim to love the messenger of Allah ,
but you do not fulfill his rights.
You claim to be the enemies of Shaitan, but you align with him.
And the fifth one is you say you desire Jannah, but you do not work for it.
Allah said about Jannah, about Paradise,
Allah said, Allah has indeed purchased.
Allah has indeed purchased.
Allah has indeed purchased.
Allah has indeed purchased.
Allah has indeed purchased.
Allah has bought from the believers.
Their lives and wealth in exchange for Jannah.
Allah says, I have taken your life and your wealth belong to me.
In exchange for this, I have given you Jannah.
This is the deal, this is the sale that has happened.
Allah is using the word sale.
Bought.
So, what happens in a sale?
You buy something.
If I pay for it, then to deliver that is responsibility of whom?
The person I paid to, right?
If I buy your car, I give you the money for the car, and then you don't give me the car,
then you are at fault.
Because we had a deal.
The deal was, pay me so much, I give you the car.
I pay you, and you don't give me the car.
Allah is saying, our deal is this, give me your life, give me your wealth, I give you
Jannah.
Simple.
Give me your life doesn't mean commit suicide, no.
Give me your life means live your life according to my commands.
Spend your wealth.
Earn.
Spend your life.
And spend in the way that I have told you to do.
That's it.
And Jannah is yours by right.
Jannah is yours by right, because Allah said, I bought it, which means now that to deliver
it is Allah's responsibility.
Allah does not go back on his word, right?
The beauty of this is, if we live our lives the way Allah has made it possible, then we
will be able to live our lives the way Allah has made it possible.
That means that we are beautiful, which means that Islam has made it possible for
us to live our lives, which means we will be able to live our lives the way Allah has
made it possible for us to live our lives.
And if we earn halal, and we spend halal, we also end up having a very beautiful life
in this world.
This is the duty of Islam.
Islam does not say punish yourself, beat up yourself every day, eat one meal in one
week, right?
In the burning sun, go and stand outside until?
all the hair on your head is gone.
No.
In freezing cold,
go and stand naked in the water.
No.
Worship Allah with dignity,
with comfort.
Be good to people.
Speak the truth.
Don't tell lies.
Don't deceive.
Give people more than you receive.
Be kind to your neighbors,
whether they are Muslim or not Muslim.
Doesn't matter.
They are your neighbors.
They have a right on you.
Be good to them.
Be good to your family.
Right?
Treat your spouse,
your wife,
your husband with respect
and with love and affection.
Show that.
Treat your children.
Raise your children as good,
responsible citizens of the land.
Be good to the country.
Be good to the earth.
Don't pollute the water.
Don't pollute the air.
I mean, just imagine,
if you do all of this,
you will be the most beloved person in the world.
Everyone will love you.
So you've got a beautiful life.
Even if it's one,
I mean,
supposing the truth was that
with death,
everything ends.
Even then,
this would be the beautiful way to live
because I live beautifully.
I have a lovely life.
My life is full of friends.
I am highly influential.
I am highly powerful and so on
in a very beautiful way.
And then I die.
Nothing comes after that.
No problem.
My life is beautiful.
But here,
that's not the case.
Here,
your life will be beautiful.
And then when you go before Allah,
Allah said,
now Jannah is yours by right.
You bought it from me.
I sold it to you.
Now, what's the problem with that?
But we think that
it must come without effort.
It does not come without effort.
Nothing comes without effort.
Shaitan deceives us.
And the deception is so dumb
if you think about this.
There are some things
that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala fixed.
They're not going to change.
Nobody can change them.
And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
told us what those things are
and he told us they are fixed.
There are other things
which Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
gave us the pen and said,
write your destiny.
Why?
Why?
Why?
Why?
Why?
So now, which of these should you focus on?
The ones that are fixed and cannot be changed, focus on them?
Or focus on the ones that you can actually do something about?
Dumb question, right?
But we behave in dumb ways, what to do?
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala fixed our lifespan.
Period.
Nobody can extend your lifespan.
If Allah has fixed your lifespan at X, at 70, at 20, at 5, at 2000, whatever Allah fixed,
you will live that many years, you have no choice in the matter.
What choice do you have?
What should be the quality of that life?
Do you want to live that life in a wheelchair, connected up to tubes?
Or do you want to live that life in a wheelchair, connected up to tubes?
Do you want to live that life working and active and doing good things and having friends and so on?
Choice is yours.
You want to live that life active?
Walk 10,000 steps a day.
You want to be in a wheelchair?
No problem.
Go look up wheelchairs.
Order them on Amazon, they'll deliver it to your doorstep.
Huh?
Your sustenance.
The quantity of it.
How much will I earn?
How much will I receive in life?
And sustenance is remember, is not only money.
It's money, it is knowledge, it is help.
Is every, everything you need.
Is risk.
Quantity?
Fixed by Allah.
Quality?
Up to you.
You want to earn it from the halal, from a halal source and get rewarded for the same thing?
Or you want to chase it in a haram direction?
Or you want to chase it in a haram direction?
Or you want to chase it in a haram direction?
and get punished for the same thing.
The amount doesn't change.
How you earn it
and where you spend it
decides what happens to you in the akhirah.
Shaitan changes this.
Shaitan says, no, no, no, forget all this.
Unless you take an interest-based loan,
your business cannot survive.
Unless you take an interest-based mortgage
and buy a house,
you have failed your family.
Is owning a house
part of the akhirah of Islam?
Is it necessary to own a house
to go into Jannah?
Or if somebody lives in a rented house
his whole life, he cannot go to Jannah,
he goes to Jannah. Is it true?
And nobody says don't own a house.
Own 5 million houses, who cares?
Own them in the right way.
That's all.
Own your house
without entering into
an interest-based transaction
of any kind.
Own a car by not entering
into an interest-based transaction
of any kind.
Buy a second-hand car.
What's the problem with that?
Get a...
zero...
interest...
lease or whatever it is.
You know, things happen.
Things are available.
Do that.
Student loans.
Who tells you that you have to
study that particular thing?
One of the youngsters came to me.
Many of you come.
I give advice and I
obviously give everything confidential
so nobody knows.
But one of them came to me.
He said, I want to become a dentist.
It's fantastic.
I got a...
problem.
What's the problem?
It's going to cost me
almost a million dollars
to become a dentist.
And then it's cost me
another million dollars
to set up the practice.
I said, sure, no problem.
You got 2 million bucks?
No.
Your dad has 2 million bucks?
No.
I said, I don't have 2 million bucks.
So what's going to happen?
No, I have to take a loan.
He said, no.
You do not have to take a loan
because you do not have to become a dentist.
Who told you you should become a dentist?
Now what must I do?
What does your dad do?
My dad is a
construction guy.
How much money does he make?
He gave me some insane figure.
I said, you allergic to money?
He said, no.
I said, forget dentistry.
Go become an apprentice to your dad.
Get into the construction business.
You owe nothing to nobody.
From day one, you start earning.
Live your life, man.
What's so romantic
about looking into people's mouths?
And the man lived
happily ever after.
He took my advice.
He said, this sounds good.
I said, sure.
He said, sure.
Choices.
Make the right choices.
What is the right choice?
Does it please Allah?
That's it.
Period.
Islam is very simple.
Believe me.
Islam is the simplest thing.
Very simple.
One single choice.
One single criterion for every decision.
What is that?
Does it please Allah?
You got three possibilities.
Yes, it pleases Allah.
I know that.
Go ahead.
Do it, my brother.
No, it doesn't please Allah.
Turn around.
Run like hell.
Third one, I have a doubt.
I don't know whether it pleases Allah or not.
Hold your horses.
Don't touch it.
Go find out.
And then you will know if it pleases Allah, all yours.
Does it please Allah?
Go away.
Now, what's so difficult about doing that?
Nothing else comes in.
Nothing else comes into the picture.
Does it please Allah?
I remind myself when you talk about Jannah.
You remind each other about Jannah.
Love Jannah.
Want Jannah.
Then you will start working towards Jannah.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala mentioned Jannah in many places in the Qur'an.
One of the most beautiful places is in Surah Al-Insan.
Where Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said,
