Auto-generated transcript:Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. My brothers, sisters, elders, 1500 years ago, a window opened in the heavens and God spoke to man. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala spoke to us. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala sent Jibreel alayhi salam with his message, which was spoken to Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi salam. And he recited that to his sahaba. In a way, he recited that to us and we believed it because we believed him. The message of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala was later on written down. As we know the Kitabullah, the book of Allah, but what was sent was the actual kalam of Allah, the speech of Allah. It was the spoken word that came. It was heard, remembered, conveyed by the one who was known as As-Sadiq al-Ameen, the truthful and the trustworthy. We believed it to be the word, the speech of Allah, not because Allah spoke to us, but because Muhammad sallallahu alayhi salam said so. We believed in Muhammad sallallahu alayhi salam first, then we believed what Muhammad sallallahu alayhi salam told us. The foundation of Islam is the truthfulness of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi salam. Every single thing in Islam is constructed on this foundation. And that is why Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala deliberately gave the orders for his worship. The five things we know as the Arkan of Islam, the pillars of Islam. He gave the commands, but he left it to his messenger sallallahu alayhi salam to explain and teach us how. To do this. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala could have obviously very easily explained all of this in detail in the Quran. He did not do that. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said very clearly, for example, the first of the Arkan of Shahada of how do you enter Islam. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said, Allah said, whoever seeks a religion. Okay. Or comes with a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted from him. And in the hereafter, he will be one of the losers. And then he left it to Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to tell us how to enter Islam. And it was Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam who said to the people, And become successful. Because if you don't do that, you will be unsuccessful. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala made Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam not only the teacher of the way to enter Islam, but made him the door through which one enters this religion. Belief in Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam as the Rasul of Allah, as the Messenger of Allah, and as the final Messenger of Allah, as the last Nabi and Rasul is intrinsic to Islam. It is intrinsic to the faith. Without believing in Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, you cannot be a Muslim. Without believing that Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was the last and final Messenger, the final Nabi, the final Rasul, without believing that, and instead believing that there was somebody else or there is somebody else who can, who has come or will come after him, renders us out of, renders that person who believes that out of Islam. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, the next pillar, commanded us to pray. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said, Nobody has the right to be worshipped except me. So worship me and establish as-salah, iqawati salah, for my remembrance. And then he left it to Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to teach us. He taught us how to do it. The method of the salah was left to Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam who taught the Sahaba, رضوان الله عليهم أجمعين and he said to them, صلوا كما رأيتموني أسلّي He said, pray as you have seen me pray. He did not say pray as Allah told you to pray. He said, no, pray as you have seen me pray. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala ordered us to fast in Ramadan. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said, Oh, you believe fasting? Assume fasting has been prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you so that you may become al-muttaqun. And then Allah jalla jalaluhu left it to Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to explain what is the meaning of fasting. And all its mathail. When to start, when to finish, what breaks it, what to do if you break it, and so on, and so on, and so on. Without learning and understanding these rules, it is impossible to fast. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala ordered us to establish salah and pay zakat and give something called qard hasana. And he said, وَأَقِمُوا صَلَاةً وَآتُوا الزَّكَاتَ وَأَقْرِضُوا اللَّهَ خَرَضًا حَسَنًا Allah said establish salah and give zakat and lend to Allah a good loan, qard hasana. And then he left it to Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to explain to us what zakat is liable on. What is zakat? How much is zakat? For whom is it liable? Who must pay zakat? Who is eligible to receive zakat? Zakat is for what period of time? Zakat is on what kind of assets? And so on. All of this Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala left it to Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to explain this meaning of zakat. JazakAllah. Finally, the last pillar of Islam about hajj. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala ordered us and he said, Allah said, Verily the first house of worship appointed and built for mankind was that at Bakka, which is Makkah, full of blessing and guidance for all the alameen, for all the worlds, for the men and jinn. In it are manifest signs. For example, the maqam of Ibrahim, the place of Ibrahim alayhi salam. Whoever enters it, he attains salama, security and safety. And hajj to the house, which is the house? The Kaaba. Hajj to the house is a duty that mankind owes to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. Those who can afford the expenses, conveyance, provision, health, residence and so on, and whoever disbelieves, whoever does not, denies hajj, then this person is a disbeliever. Then Allah stands not, in need of any of the alameen. Allah does not need anyone in the whole of creation. Now, and then He left it to Rasulullah s.a.w. to explain and teach us what constitutes hajj. What is hajj? Rasulullah s.a.w. said, He said, take from me the manasik, the stages, the pillars, the arkan of hajj, the method of hajj. Rasulullah s.a.w. taught us the pillars of hajj, the arkan of hajj, to the extent that, although Allah s.w.t. said, hajj to the house of Allah, hajj to the house is a duty that mankind owes to Allah, it was Rasulullah s.a.w. who told us what that means. And that means, standing not next to the Ka'bah, but standing in Arafah. Standing in Arafah. He said, the one who does not stand in Arafah on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah, did not do hajj. Allah s.w.t. did not specify a date in the Quran. Allah did not say, hajj to the house of Allah, Allah on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah. Allah could have said this. Allah said, hajj to the house of Allah. So supposing I say, well you know, now is the right time to go, it's all, there's no crowd, I'm going for hajj. Is it acceptable? And if I bring the dalil to say, Allah never said that. Allah never said anything about anything. He just gave the hukam. When is hajj? How is it to be done? All the arkan, all the rules and regulations of all the ibadat. Reflect on this, think about this. This is the maqab of Muhammad s.a.w. I'm giving the examples of this, of the arkan of Islam, the pillars of Islam, because these are the head of the matter. These are the pillars. This is creed. This is the pillars on which our religion stands. It is therefore in these pillars themselves that Allah s.w.t. established, the religion of Islam. The importance of Rasul s.a.w. as the one we must follow, without which it would be impossible to enter Islam or to worship Allah. Muhammad s.a.w. is crucial, is critical, is central, is seminal, is fundamental and essential to Islam. He is not one among other important topics or principles or things. He is the one without whom nothing else is possible. That is why Allah s.w.t. protected his life, his ways, his words, his faith, his religion, his religion, his religion, his religion. He protected his life, his ways, his words, and created an entire generation of men and women who lived with him, observed him closely, recorded everything he said or did. They did this because they loved him more than anyone else. And Allah s.w.t. is witness to that. The Rasul, the Nabi is closer to the believers than their own selves. And this love was reciprocated by Rasul s.a.w. who loved his companions more than he loved his own family. About this Allah s.w.t. declared, He said, verily there has come to you a Messenger Muhammad s.a.w. from amongst yourselves. It grieves him that you should receive any injury or difficulty. He Muhammad s.a.w. is anxious over you to be rightly guided. For the believers he is compassionate, kind and merciful. I remind myself and you that this is the position of Muhammad s.a.w. Not more, not less. And the reason I am saying that is because this is the problem with a lot of us. There is one group of people who raise the level of Muhammad s.a.w. almost to the point of shirk. They almost worship Muhammad s.a.w. instead of worshipping Allah s.w.t. One of the classic ones is on the 12th of Rabiul Awwal they celebrate what is called Mawlud or Mawleed or Eid-e-Milad or Milad-un-Nabi and what not. Something for which there is no dalil whatsoever.
