Auto-generated transcript: Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim walhamdulillah wassalatu wassalamu ala rasulillah ﷺ wa ba'd. On the subject of tahajjud, this is one of the beautiful things that gets initiated in Ramadan, qiyamul layl. Don't fall into needless arguments about whether tarawih is sunnah or not—it is sunnah; there is no doubt about this. Don't fall into arguments about how many rak'at you should pray, whether it should be 8 or 20 or whatever. Or in Maliki fiqh, 36—Sahabi came to ask Rasulullah ﷺ about qiyamul layl, and he said, "How should I pray?" He said, "Pray 2 by 2—that's it." He did not say, "Pray 2 and 10 and 15 and 2 by 2," right? Not 15, 16, 2 by 2. So you pray as much as you can pray, and then if you cannot pray anymore, go home. Please understand: Qiyamul layl, tarawih, tahajjud—is sunnah. Creating a faith fintan is haram. Don't do something haram because you have a problem with the sunnah. There is no problem with the sunnah. Anyone who has these doubts, please be aware of shaitan trying to take away the reward and benefit of Ramadan from you. Qiyamul layl is a sunnah—we ask Allah ﷻ to make this, to make tahajjud a practice in our lives for the rest of our lives. Allah ﷻ promised His special reward. He said, in Surah Salat: **إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَنَهَرٍ يَدْحُضُونَ بِأَكْمَامِهِمْ مَا كَانَتْ أَعْيُنُهُمْ تَرَىٰ** (inna almuttaqina fi janna tin wa nahrin yadhudhun bi akmaamihim ma kana ta3yunu hum tara) (These are the people who get up from their sides and they stand before Allah ﷻ between fear and hope—between the fear of Allah's punishment and hope for His reward.) And then they spend in the path of Allah from what We have given them. And Allah said, "If they knew what I have kept for them in terms of their reward, it would be the sweetness and it would be the coolness of their eyes." My brothers and sisters, Allah has given us an opportunity to pray tahajjud, to pray taraweeh. Taraweeh is a form of tahajjud; taraweeh is qiyamul layl—it's a form of tahajjud. Pray taraweeh, pray tahajjud as much as you can, reap the rewards, loot the rewards—and do not allow shaitan to come in the way to create needless difficulties and arguments and reduce the reward or deprive you and us from the rewards. Then make this into a lifelong habit, inshallah. We ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for His help: wasallallahu ala nabiyyin kareem wa ala alihi wa sahbihi ajmain bi rahmatika ya arhamar rahimeen.
