Auto-generated transcript: **بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم** Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen. Wa salatu wa salamu ala ashrafil anbiya wal mursaleen. Muhammadur Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa ala alihi wa sahbihi wa sallam. Tasliman kathiran kathiran. Fama baadu wa brother and sister. The question we are talking about taqwa, we are talking about fasting. We are talking about the benefits of fasting and how Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala sent us fasting in order to make us muttaqun, in order to make us people of taqwa. And the question is how do you develop taqwa? Very simple. The way to develop taqwa is to remember your death. To remember that one day we will stand before Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. There is nothing and nobody in the world who will escape no matter what it looks like today. No matter how much power they have today. No matter how many systems of justice they can warp and change and manipulate and twist and turn for their own benefit. On the day of judgment. Every single person, you, me and everyone will stand before Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala naked and helpless as we are. And we will be judged. Remember that and let us remember that. And let us continuously remind ourselves about that. Remind others and remind ourselves to say that no matter what it is, one day I will face Allah. And when I face Allah, how am I going to answer him for whatever it is that I am doing today. Remember sin is sweet. Sin is attractive. That is why people are not happy. That is why people do sin. If somebody drank alcohol and they immediately had a stroke, they would not touch alcohol. If somebody was committing zina, if they were committing adultery, and if they immediately had a stroke, they wouldn't touch a person, a man or a woman that they were not married to. And so on and so forth. Everything, whatever, while lying and cheating and gambling and slandering and so on, if punishment came immediately, if it was painful, they wouldn't touch it. They do it because they see worldly benefit in it. The solution, the antidote to that is to remind ourselves, it doesn't end with this. This is the beginning and this has an effect. And that effect is on my Akhira. That effect is on my life hereafter. This benefit is small. The effect is forever. So let me not touch anything which is potentially harmful. Because on the Day of Judgment, I will not be able to prevent the punishments, the punishment from touching me, if I don't prevent myself from touching the sin. We ask Allah to make us Muttaqun Wa Salallahu Ala Nabiul Kareem Wa Ala Alihi Wa Sahbihi Ajmain Bi Rahmatika Ya Rahman Rahim
