Bismillah, brothers and sisters. We will come close; we are coming close to the day of Eid. Remember, Zakat al-Fitr is wajib. Before you pray Salatul Eid, Zakatul Fitr must be paid before you pray Salatul Eid. It can be paid a few days in advance, no problem. It is actually a good idea to pay it a few days in advance because the person receiving it has time to do something with that money. Or if you just pay it on the way to the idga, it's not so useful, but anyway, you can still pay it there. There’s no problem with that. Zakatul Fitr is payable on the day of each find out how much Zakatul Fitr is in your country and pay it. Zakatul Fitr is payable for every individual in your house irrespective of their age. So even if a child is born the previous night, Fitr is payable for that child. Zakatul Fitr is also payable for any permanent servants and so on that you may have who they may live with you or not doesn’t matter, but if they are permanent servants with you, then you should also pay Zakatul Fitr for those servants. Make sure that you ensure that they make sure that you pay the Zakatul Fitr. Don’t leave it if you have left it after Salatul Eid, it becomes ordinary charity. It is not Zakatul Fitr. So make sure you pay that. This is conditional for the acceptance of Salatul Eid. It is a day of happiness, a day of joy and rejoicing. Let us make it also a day of joy and rejoicing for others whom Allah has not given as much wealth as He has given to us. And let us make sure that they also have money to eat some good food, maybe make some clothes, and so on. To make sure that the khair and barakah for them as well as their children and their children’s children.
We ask Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala to help us to celebrate Eid in a manner which is in keeping with the Sunnah of Rasulullah SAW and to ensure that we give Zakatul Fitr before we go to Eid. Go to Eid on one route and come back from another route and make the takbirat of Eid when you are going and when you are sitting there waiting for the Eid Salah. Do not pray tayyatul masjid when you go for Eid Salah. That's the only time you don't pray that. And then once the Eid prayer is established, the prayer is first and then there is the lecture. So do the prayer and then listen to the lecture. InshaAllah, we ask Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala to accept our Eid. Let me wish you kullu aam mantum bi khair, Eid Mubarak. May Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala make this Eid the best Eid of your lives. May Allah make us among those who will enjoy this and in khair and barakah and afiyah. Wa sallallahu ala nabiyyil kareem wa ala alihi wa sahbihi ajmain. Bi rahmatika ya rahman rahim.
