Auto-generated transcript: **Bismillah, walhamdulillah, wassalatu wassalamu ala rasulullah ﷺ wa baad.** My brothers and sisters, forgiveness is something, forgiveness is the manifestation of mercy. The action which shows mercy is forgiveness. And forgiveness is something without which no relationship can exist. Every conceivable relationship on the face of the planet in our lives needs forgiveness. Including our relationship with Allah ﷻ. If Allah does not forgive us, we are finished. We are destroyed. Forgiveness is something we need with our spouses, we need with our children, we need with our teachers, our students, with our customers, clients, with strangers, with everybody, we need to forgive each other. Forgiveness is the glue which holds the ummah together. It is the glue which holds the ummah together. To the extent that Rasulullah ﷺ not only promoted it, but he enforced it. In the hadith of Abu Dawood, Rasulullah ﷺ said: **وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَا يَحِلُّ لِمُسْلِمٍ أَنْ يَحْجُرَ أَخَاهُ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثًا فَمَنْ حَجَرَ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثًا فَمَاتَ دَخَلَ النَّارُ** (It is not lawful for a Muslim to leave his Muslim brother without speaking to him for more than three days; whoever does so and dies will enter Hell). SubhanAllah, may Allah ﷻ save us from this, how terrible it is. And we have, we forget about brother, we don't talk to our own brothers. I know cases where people have not stopped speaking to their parents because of some nonsense they have, and they have this ill feeling. Please, after you listen to this, immediately, do not let the sun set, do not come to iftar without seeking forgiveness from Allah ﷻ, without making up with your brothers and sisters who you have not been speaking to, without making up with your parents, without making up with whoever of the Muslim brothers you want, who you had a problem with—go and forgive them, and seek their forgiveness, and make up and join hearts. Do not sleep until you do that. And inshaAllah, Allah ﷻ will accept your duas like He used to accept the duas of those He was pleased with. Forgiveness is absolutely critical. And Allah said: "Allah will forgive you—don’t you want Allah to forgive?" Ask yourself this question. May Allah bless the Prophet ﷺ and his family, and the companions of his company, and the mercy of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
