Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen. Wassalatu wassalamu ala ashrafil anbiya wal mursaleen. Muhammadur Rasulullah ﷺ. Tasliman kathiran kathiran. Faham abadu. My brothers and sisters, we make etikaf to find Laylatul Qadr. And the Rasulullah ﷺ told us that Laylatul Qadr is one of the odd nights out of the last ten nights of Ramadan. We know the hadith where there were two sahaba who were arguing outside and Nabi ﷺ came out and he said, Allah ﷻ had told me the specific night of Laylatul Qadr, but He made me forget that because of your argument. But seek Laylatul Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan in the odd nights. Now this is the hikmah of Allah ﷻ. Alhamdulillah, Nabi ﷺ could have mentioned one night. He did not do that. And therefore, don't fall into these arguments about whether it is the 27th or the 21st or the 25th and so on and so forth. Anyone who says it is definitely 27th is talking through his hat because Rasulullah ﷺ himself didn't say that. Right? So don't get into all this. There's no need for all these arguments. Seek in the last ten nights. The best way to do that is to make etikaf in the last ten nights. Definitely you would have got it.
Now Sayyidina Aisha Siddiqua, this is the beauty of the Sahaba and Sahabiya. She didn't say, "Rasulullah, when is Laylatul Qadr?" She said, "If I find Laylatul Qadr, what dua should I make?" And Allah taught her this dua:
**اللهم إنك عفوٌ تحبُّ العفوَ فاعف عنِّي**
O Allah, You are the Forgiver, and You love to forgive. Therefore, forgive me. Make this dua for all of us:
**اللهم إنك عفوٌ تحبُّ العفوَ فاعف عنِّي**
InshaAllah, we ask Allah to forgive us. Wa sallallahu ala nabiyyil kareem, wa ala alihi wa sahbihi ajmain, bi rahmatika ar-Rahman ar-Rahim.
