Auto-generated transcript: Bismillah walhamdulillah wassalatu wassalamu ala Rasoolullah ﷺ wa ba'd. My brothers and sisters, alhamdulillah we are in the month of Ramadan. And this ayah which Allah put in the middle of the ayat of fasting: **إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ** (inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un). Which means Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said: When my slave is close to Me, when my slave asks about Me, I am close to him. Tell him that I am close to him when he asks Me. I will give him, and let him obey Me and let him have faith in Me, and he will be rightly guided. We ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala—this is the beauty of this deen—when the slave has developed taqwa because he is fasting. He is now conscious of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. He is conscious of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in his life. He is looking around himself. He is seeing the blessings that Allah has given him. He is thanking Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for those blessings. He doesn't just say "this happened, that happened." He doesn't say, "I am a self-made man." No—he understands that only and only Allah gives. He realizes that everything he has is a gift from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. He is therefore grateful to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. He looks around him and sees the glory, majesty, power, control, and khudrat of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. His heart is filled with the khashyat of Allah. His heart is filled with shukur to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala (thankfulness to Allah). And he is aware of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. So he is asking: My Rabb, how can I please You? My Rabb, be pleased with me. And that's what Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is saying: Make dua, and I'll ask you. Ramadan is the month of dua. Ask Allah. Beg Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. Ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to give—and with the complete yaqeen. Inshallah, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will give. And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has put conditions. Allah said: "I will give whatever you have asked for. Ask Me, I will give you—but the condition is obey Me." No dua and no begging while you are doing something which is haram. You are earning interest. Allah has prohibited it. Allah has declared war on the one who deals in interest. What we deal with—we deal in interest. What do you call the one you are at war with? The enemy. You have accepted Allah as your enemy and you make dua to Allah. What sense does it make? Please let us clean up our act. Get rid of everything we displease Allah. Focus only and only on pleasing Allah—and then ask Allah. And see how Allah will give you. You will get tired of taking. Allah does not give—get tired of giving. My Rabb has no limits on what He can give because His treasures have no boundaries.
