Auto-generated transcript: Bismillah walhamdulillah wassalatu wassalamu ala rasulillah ﷲ wa ba'd. My brothers and sisters, we have this beautiful hadith narrated by Abu Huraira ﷲ, which is in Bukhari and Muslim, where he said: Rasulullah ﷲ reported, "Man sama ramadana imanan wa ihtisaban." The person whoever fasts during the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah ﷻ's reward, then all his past sins will be forgiven. Imagine this thing. So when you sit and start your suhoor, make this dua and say: "O Allah, I am making this niyah to fast. Please Allah accept this fast and forgive my sins as You promised, and as Your Rasul ﷲ told us that the one who fasts with iman, with complete faith, and with this expectation and asking and hoping for the reward from Allah ﷻ, imanan wa ihtisaban, Allah ﷻ will forgive all his sins." And this hadith is in Bukhari and Muslim. Another hadith also in Bukhari and Muslim, narrated by Abu Huraira ﷲ. May Allah ﷻ fill his khawar with nur and increase his darjah. What a beautiful sahabi subhanallah—he dedicated his life to studying with Rasul ﷲ, giving up his business and everything else in his family and so on. And he stayed with Rasul ﷲ for three years and quoted the maximum number of hadith because he did nothing but spend his time in the sohba of Rasul ﷲ, noting what Rasul ﷲ was teaching. He says that whoever stands in the nafil qiyamul layl—and this qiyamul layl refers to tarawih, refers to tahajjud—again imanan wa ihtisaban: qiyamul layl, who stands in the voluntary night prayer of Ramadan out of faith and hoping for reward from Allah ﷻ, his previous sins will be forgiven. And then he said in another hadith in Bukhari: "Whoever stands in the voluntary night prayer—which is tahajjud, which is tarawih—in laylatul qadr out of faith and hoping to attain Allah ﷻ's reward, his previous sins will be forgiven." So see how easy, how simple it is. Just make sure that when we stand, don't worry about anybody else. Go to the masjid, stand in prayer at home. When you stand in prayer, make this niyyah and say: "O Allah, this is what Your Nabi ﷲ promised us. Please give us and stand and ask Allah ﷻ to accept your salah and ask Allah to accept it and ask Allah ﷻ to forgive our sins." Wasallallahu anha nabil kareem wa alihi wa sahbihi ajma'in bi rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
