Auto-generated transcript:So the thing that strikes my mind is what is the result of that? What change does the Quran bring in ourselves, in our actions? And I want to tell you two stories. One story is with regard to the Quran changing somebody's life and the other one is the result of that. The first story is narrated by none other than Imam Al-Awzaie, Rahmatul Ali. Imam Al-Awzaie was one of the great Imams of the Sharia and he was the Imam of the Zahiri Masab and he is ranked on the same level as Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Shafi' and so on. Allah swt spread some things and doesn't spread some things so the Zahiri Masab is not a big Masab but Imam Al-Awzaie is very hugely respected, he is fatawar in the books of fiqh and he is very very well known and very respected Imam. So he says that they were going for Umrah and so in a caravan and those were the days when there were people, bandits used to loot these caravans because people went for Umrah and so on. Usually they would go for Umrah just before Ramadan and then they would stay on and so on until Dhul Hijjah. So they would do Hajj and then they would, after Dhul Hijjah they would come back. So they had all sorts of provisions and stuff with them so it was good loot for the people who were the highway robbers. So Imam Al-Azai says that we were in this caravan and we got raided by this bandit group and of course there was chaos absolutely, some people were getting wounded and beaten up and some people, maybe somebody got killed or what not. Imam Al-Azai says that in the middle of all this I suddenly found myself the head of that gang of thugs, gang of robbers. He said he was standing in front of me, he had a naked sword in his hand and he said to me, who are you? Imam Al-Azai said, I am so and so. He said what do you do? Imam Al-Azai says I teach children Quran, I teach children how to read Quran. He does not say I am an Imam of fiqh and I am this and that. He said I teach children to recite Quran. So this Robert Chief says, okay so recite some Quran for me. Decide some Quran for me. I am talking about the effect of the Quran on the heart. Who is this guy? He is the head of bandits, you are not talking about some great sheikh of Tasiyyat-ul-Nafs. The worst of the worst, he is a man looting people and killing people and so on. Al-Azai, may Allah have mercy on him, recites only one ayah. He says, that's it. One little ayah from Surah Dhu Zariyat, and in the heavens is your rizq, your sustenance and whatever you wanted and want and need is in the heavens. Al-Azai said the man started shivering. His sword dropped from his hand, fell from his head. And he says, this is the Quran? Al-Azai says yes. He says this is Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. Allah said this. He said yes. He said then why am I doing this? Then why are we doing this work? If our rizq is in the heavens, why are we robbing people? Allah said, I did not say anything. He said the man picked up his sword and put it in the scabbard. He called his people and said, they all came. He said Allah says that our sustenance is with him. In the heavens. So, I am making taba now. This work we are doing is haram. We should not be doing this. He said we knew this. Now this is proof. And I am leaving this work. You decide what you want to do for yourselves. His followers said we are your followers. Whatever you do, we do. You are our sheikh. You are our chief. So, if you leave this work, we leave this work. So, Alaudah and Haath-ul-Aal says they returned everybody their things and so on. They apologized to people who were hurt. They gave some money and whatnot. They left. The effect of the Quran on her made it. Then Alaudah and Haath-ul-Aal said well then we hamdillah we thanked Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and so on and we continued. And we reached Makkah. We went to Omra. All this happened. He says that one day after Salat-ul-Fajr I am making taba for the Kaaba and I hear somebody weeping with such a broken way. Not just crying. He said this is like coming out of his heart. And Alaudah and Haath-ul-Aal said that weeping was as if as a woman who would weep if her baby was taken from her arms and the baby's throat was cut and it was given back to the woman. What would she do? May Allah have mercy. That is the kind of weeping I heard. Completely broken weeping. So, I said who is this person? Let me go and see and guess who it was. It was this chief of the bandits. He is sitting in front of the Kaaba. He is making dhaat all the time. He is making istighfar and taba. Alaudah said I tapped him on the shoulder and he looked at me. He recognized me. And he said I then recited the next ayah which I had recited. The next ayah is The next ayah is The next ayah is The next ayah is Allah is saying The wow is the wow of Qasm there. Allah is taking an oath by himself and he is saying By the Rabb of the This is true. What is true? It is true that your rizq is in the heavens. Allah is taking an oath and saying this. And Allah said just like you talk to each other and you have no This is true. You know it is true you are talking to each other. Alaudah says the man looks at He says Allah took an oath Allah took an oath For me To convince me To convince me Why does Allah have to take Why does Allah have to take an oath I am nothing And Allah is saying Allah is taking an oath to convince me I am nothing Alaudah said That man His knowledge of Islam is zero He did not go to any darul or any madras or anything But he said the kalam of Allah enters his heart As if the Quran is making nozul right there He said Allah is talking to me Allah is taking a Qasm Allah is taking an oath to convince me Why does my Lord have to take an oath to convince me I am nothing This is the effect of the Quran So I need to ask myself and I request you to ask yourself What is the effect of the Quran on my heart? Completely flips The life Of a bandit One ayah One ayah Second story There was another Great Alim Who was a contemporary of Imam Ahmad bin Ambal Rahmatul Ali And his name was Hatim al-Asab And Hatim al-Asab was A student of Sheikh Al-Shaqiq al-Balkhi Rahimah Allah Ta'ala So Hatim al-Asab He was known to be a man of great tawakun And his principle in life was Whatever he considered to be Ziyada as zaruri Which means more than his specific requirement He would be considered to be Ziyada as zaruri So he had no wealth Just enough to sustain himself And his family So one day Hatim al-Asab Rahmatul Ali He is sitting in his house Very sad Tears in his eyes So his little daughter comes back And she looks at him and says Why are you crying? She says, I am not crying I am crying because I am not crying Why are you crying? Why are you crying? So Hatim al-Asab says to her First you tell her Don't worry, nothing is wrong No, no, no, why are you crying? Why are you crying? So he says that I had this thing in my heart This year, very strong That I should go for Hajj So I asked your mother Will you permit me to go? Will you permit me to go? Because children are there and so on She said you can go if we have enough provision to last Until you come back Like I told you, they used to go for Several months So the travelling time, then they go there They make umrah, they stay, they do Hajj And so on So obviously that provision He didn't have So as I said, if you don't have That much provision to give us Then you can't go because we will be left And we have nothing, no sustenance What will we do? So the little girl said don't worry I will take care of mom You make your plans So Hatim al-Asab said this is the last Caravan which is supposed to go Is leaving tomorrow If I don't go, I can't go Because you couldn't travel alone in all those days So this little girl went and whatever She said, she convinced her mother Little girls are very dangerous Those of you who are daughters, you know this Totally complete, no defense against them So she went and convinced her mother And the mother said okay, you can go So Hatim al-Asab And Amitlaladeh left He gave the caravan The caravan chief whatever Fare he had to give him To take him And he left Now a day into the journey This chief of this caravan Got bitten by a scorpion In the desert you have scorpions and so on So he got bitten by a scorpion Intensely painful Possibly could result in death And the man was in serious trouble But Hatim al-Asab was alone People knew him and so on They knew he was a great sheikh and Ali So people came running to him And said please come and do something for him So Hatim al-Asab and Aadhar Ali went there He made dua And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala cured him So he made dua and instantly the Pain went away, everything went away He was fine He was so happy He returned Hatim al-Asab's Money to him and he said to him You keep this money, you are my guest I will take you, I will bring you back This whole hatch trip is on me So Hatim al-Asab and Aadhar Ali thanked Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala And said Yaarab You have taken care of me, please take care of my family And they are continuing Week passes, two weeks pass Back home Things are getting tough Because what money they have and provisions They have and so on are Finishing And things are getting tough And the mother And the other sibling and so on They are on this girl's case And the mother says you are the problem You are the one who convinced me Now your dad is gone And we have all this trouble, what do we do And so on and this girl is laughing This girl has got a big Smile on her face, she is laughing Which obviously the god and the mother Even more irritated, why you laugh, what are you laughing about We are in trouble here, we are Running out of food and so on, you are laughing What's so funny The girl says who left She thinks about this, who left Al-Razik or Marzook The provider of sustenance Or the one who takes sustenance Who left Marzook So then why you worried Why you worried Al-Razik He is there The one who provides the provision Allah is there
