All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
And peace and blessings be upon the honour of the prophets and messengers.
Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and upon his family and companions.
Peace be upon him, and upon him, and upon him.
From now on, we are looking at the story of Hatim al-Assam, peace and blessings be upon him,
and the advice that he gave to people.
And this is the seventh of them, seventh out of eight.
He said, I have seen that people are struggling to earn their money.
I've seen that people are struggling to earn their money so much that they disgrace
and they demean themselves before others and even use haram means to earn their livelihood.
What I have read in the Quran that Allah has said,
And this is the first of the seven verses.
And the second verse is the first verse.
And the third verse is the first verse.
And the fourth verse is the first verse.
And the fifth verse is the first verse.
And the sixth verse is the first verse.
And the seventh verse is the sixth verse.
And the seventh verse is the sixth verse.
And the seventh verse is the fifth verse.
And the fourth verse is the sixth verse.
Then Allah says in Ayatul 추َسَّطَ passieren
Weは انعم الْحَٰرين الذين بالحق القدم escola
There is no moving creature on the earth whose provision, whose rizq is not guaranteed by Allah.
And only He who knows where it lives and where it is laid to rest.
And all of them is written in the perfect record.
حادث الالميل الم记ع الأمر
őlحاطم الأسم
says
I know that I am also one of those creatures
selling some goods at the market.
He knows that and He knows that I am also one of those people.
sustenance depends on Allah and Allah has guaranteed that to me.
So I engage myself in the Ibadah of Allah for which He created me and I have left the
responsibility of my provisions to Him.
I engage myself in the Ibadah of Allah and responsibility of the provisions I have left
it to Allah.
I remind myself and you, think about one thing.
Most of you would have had your dinner I suppose by now, right?
If you didn't have dinner, you had lunch anyway.
Think about what you ate for lunch, whatever it was.
Supposing you ate for lunch a roti, you know, a kufus.
You ate a pizza.
You ate a pizza.
You ate a pizza.
Now take that bread you ate and trace it back.
Before becoming a bread, what was this thing?
It was dough.
And this dough went into an oven and somebody cooked it, right?
Before the dough, what was it?
Flour.
And this flour, was it born as a flour?
No.
Before that, what was it?
It was a plant.
It was a seed, right?
So somebody sowed a seed somewhere, we don't know where.
That plant grew.
It produced seeds, which is rice or wheat or corn or whatever.
And then somebody harvested that and someone transported that to some place.
It was stored.
And then someone bought that and they took it and they ground it and they made flour.
And somebody bought this flour and they took it into the bakery and they kneaded the dough
and they baked the bread.
And then this bread went into the pizza place and somebody made the pizza.
Okay?
And all you did was, you went and paid five bucks and you bought the pizza and you ate
the pizza.
You don't know and you don't remember and you don't acknowledge and you don't think
of all the people and all the things that I only started at the plant.
There's a story beyond that also.
All of that, which was decreed by Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala Jalla Jalaluhu so that you could
eat your pizza.
How many people?
In how many people?
In how many?
God knows how many countries because today our plates are international.
The beef on your plate comes from Argentina.
The mutton on your plate comes from New Zealand or Australia.
The chicken on your plate comes from God knows where.
Right?
The fruit if you are eating that comes from somewhere.
You got the whole world.
If the plate could talk or if you could turn the plate into a map of the entire world,
you could do it.
You could do it.
If you could turn the plate into a map of the origins of all the stuff on it, it would
look like a world map.
But we look only at the pizza.
Oh, I had one pizza.
No, you didn't have one.
You had the effort and you had the, all the, the input of Allah knows how many people in
how many countries.
Imagine the guy growing the beef.
Right?
He's got this ranch in the Pampas in Argentina.
He's got thousands and thousands of cattle.
He has cowboys there on horses.
And his calf is born and the calf is raised.
And then there are wolf tries to get the calf.
Somebody is fighting that wolf.
There are big guard dogs there, big cattle dogs there, which are fighting wolves.
And this calf becomes, comes to the level of being a heifer.
And then it goes to the slaughterhouse.
Somebody there supervises the slaughter.
Is it halal?
Is it Zabiha?
Is somebody doing it properly?
Then cuts.
Sirloin steak, this steak, that steak, walnut, all those cuts.
Then it gets on a plane.
Then it lands here in Costco or wherever you buy it from.
How much effort goes into this?
I mean, imagine all of that stuff.
Just so that you can have your beef burger.
So who must thank for this?
Allah, you know.
Yeah.
And we are sitting here and saying, I don't know if I'll get my next meal or not.
Unless I sell this garbage, I will not get food to eat.
What is that?
What kind of stuff is this?
We worship Allah?
Inna Allaha huwa ar-razzakoo dhu al-quwwati al-mateena.
Allah is verily and truly and surely.
Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala, He is ar-razzak and He provides you with His power.
So why are we, why are we anxious?
Why are we worried?
My career is hanging on a thread.
That thread is made of steel, brother.
It looks like a thread.
But there are threads and threads.
You like fishing, right?
You go deep sea fishing.
I was in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Mozambique on the, in the Mozambique current,
maybe 200 miles inside the sea, and I hooked a blue marlin.
Huge fish, big sword.
Right?
The bait was a bonita.
It was big.
Bonita is a big, big fish.
It caught it.
It rose up in the air like that.
It danced on its tail, bit it in half, disappeared.
Just to show you, thank you for the bait.
I got my food.
And that thing, if I had landed that, what was I landing it on?
On a thread, on a fishing line.
That fishing line has a breaking strength of 200 kilos.
It's a big fish.
It's a big fish.
It's a big fish.
It's a big fish.
It's a big fish.
So it's not the question of the thread.
The question is how strong is the thread.
What are you worried about?
Remember Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala does not ask us for anything more than what we are supposed
to give and do on that day.
We just played Salatul Fajr, Salatul Isha.
Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala has not asked us to play Salatul Fajr.
Now the Hukam of the Prophet is to give and do.
We just played Salatul Isha.
Now the Hukam was what?
Pray Salatul Isha.
We prayed.
Alhamdulillah.
We are done.
Allah is not telling us now, you know, you also pray Fajr and Zohar and Asr and Maghrib
and Isha till tomorrow and keep that, stockpile it somewhere, store it.
Otherwise, how do I know you will pray?
No.
So why are we worried about?
You had dinner, right?
Why are you worried about breakfast?
Will I get breakfast?
Will I get lunch?
In this country, may Allah have mercy on us, see, we are not worried about food.
We are worried about food.
We are worried about food.
We are worried about food.
We are worried about food.
We are worried about food.
May Allah have mercy on us.
Seriously, when you go home now, do me a favour.
Go home and open your fridge.
Randomly, all of you.
Open your fridge.
Look at the fridge.
Count the items in the fridge.
Just count.
Right?
Do that.
And I'll give $100 in cash.
I'm sitting here.
I'll give $100 in cash.
If any of you can tell me without counting, how many items are there in your fridge?
Okay.
Let me tell you.
If you count the items, how many items are there in your fridge?
You put them there.
You won't even know.
In this country, standard practice, there is a fridge in the kitchen, there's another fridge
in the basement.
Why?
You think you'll starve to death?
Anybody, on an average, in this country has enough food stored.
If you do nothing else, if you have enough food stored in your house to live at least
for a month, and yet, you must buy and sell haram, you must do haram, you must do haram,
do haram because you're worried how will i eat this is life you call this life
hey that's why allah said
we are searching for the it when i look in money in food in this and that or my car in my house
because when you have the zikr of allah then you will remember this is my rab
for me to eat my burger today allah subhanahu wa ta'ala made the intizam he made the arrangement
from when from the time that rancher had a cow and the cow was cow became pregnant and the cow's
gestation
period of the calf and the calf is born and the calf is growing and the calf is and and so on and
so on and so on and so on and so on and so on and so on so that today i can eat my burger
as one of the salafis said your risk travels through means you cannot imagine
carried by people who don't even know you
shaped by circumstances beyond your control and yet it finds its way to you
with with
the perfect planning of the best of planners not a grain of rice not a tear of joy not a moment of
closeness will escape you if it is destined to yours your name is already on everything
that belongs to you all unknown to us all we didn't pay for that we did not even know that
we didn't pay for that we didn't even know that
we didn't even know that
we didn't even know that
we didn't even know that
we didn't even know that
yet when i want my food it is here in front of me
I'll eat the ice cream you He will work this thing out
