Auto-generated transcript:In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds. And peace and blessings be upon the honorable prophets and messengers, Muhammad and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, and upon the most obedient of the most obedient. From Abadu, my brothers and sisters, we are looking at the Hikaiyat, the advice of Hatim al-Aswari, may Allah be pleased with him, and the eight pieces of advice that he gave to the people. And we spoke about four of them, and this is the fifth. And the fifth one is, he said that I noticed that people find fault with each other, they insult each other and so on due to jealousy. And then I read in the Quran, Where Allah said, which means, is it they who distribute your Rabb's mercy? Is it they who distribute your Rabb's mercy? We alone have distributed their very livelihood, among them in this worldly life, and raised some of them in rank above others, so that some may employ others in service. But your Rabb's mercy is far better than whatever wealth they amass. Surah Al-Zukhruf And so, Hathim al-Assal said, therefore, I stop myself from jealousy, and I don't concern myself with others. I know for certain that the distribution of wealth is entirely in the hands of Allah . I therefore don't hate them. I don't hate somebody because a person's effort has little to do with his being rich or poor. It has been decided by Allah. Hence, I do not feel angry with anyone. I remind myself anew that Allah in the hadith of Ibn Abbas , Rasulullah ended by saying, The pens have been lifted, and the ink is dry. Now, on the other hand, you might say, Well, if you say this, then why should we work? Why should we do anything? Right? The key thing to understand is, there are two aspects of risk. One is the amount, the quantity. And the second one is the place where you earn it from. If you want to call it the quality of it. So, where do you get it from? Allah kept the quantity with Himself. So, total amount that is written for you, is written for you. This will not change. But Allah gave it into our control, where we want to earn it from. Halal source or haram source. The total amount of life, for example, number of years, is decided by Allah . Allah said, You cannot delay it, and you cannot bring it forward. But the quality of that life, this Allah has kept in our control. So, for example, at a physical level, if you take care of your body, you do not indulge in substance abuse, you exercise regularly, you eat sensibly, and so on, then your body will, you live the same number of years, but the quality of life will be good until the end. We ask Allah for this. On the other hand, you do the opposite of that. Smoking, drinking, substance abuse, drugs, you name it. Even eating, drinking, you know, without any control, no exercise. You still live the same number of years, but you are miserable throughout. All kinds of ailments, especially in the old, towards when you get older, geriatric life quality is almost total. Almost totally because of lifestyle choices. It's not disease. It's lifestyle choices. Because you won't move, then you lose strength in your legs. You end up in a wheelchair. Not because there is anything wrong with you physically. It's not a disease. You just lost muscle because you didn't do anything, any work. Muscle gone, you can't stand up. You need help to stand up. You need help to climb steps. And so on and so forth. So, so also with regard to wealth, Allah has written what He has written. But how do we take it? Do you want to take it from a halal source or a haram source? Allah has given this in your control. You will still get the same amount. But if you take it from a halal source, Allah will give you this with barakah. Allah will give you this with reward. Allah will reward you for that effort. But if you take the same thing from the haram source, you still get the same amount. Shaitan spins this story. That unless you borrow an interest, unless you buy this, unless you sell this, nothing of that sort. What Allah has written is Allah's written. But you take things in a haram way, then along that will come disease, along that will come pain, along that will come suffering, along that will come all kinds of stuff. Plus at the end of that, when you die with haram wealth, then there is answer in my heart. So, you have to take it. You have to take it. Ahh! The qibitah of being paycheek does not only arise a person's! The qibitah of being paycheek does not only arise a person's! If you take any tawda from a person, from now on you will always value the tawda. You will always value tawda and your tawda. You will pay twice as much as a person, mine, yours and mine. Tell Name Trump You will play Вoki You will play Гаг You will use many alimo You will pick Nakari You will be retrans beings to play the nut missing Yaba All names Pick any deserves of yoria below all names your role models, you will only name billionaires. I can even tell you, you will name wealthy white men, not even women. Billionaires. Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, wealthy white men. Oh, no. Warren Buffett. Yeah, I told you. So, and this happened. Actually, this happened in this masjid a couple of years ago. I asked all these wonderful, you know, young gentlemen, friends of mine who were sitting here with nice black beard and so on. I said, name for me three role models. And they said Warren Buffett, Elon Musk, and Bill Gates. And this was in the masjid. We were doing some lecture on Sira, right? Nobody said, No, no, no. Warren Buffett. And this is in the masjid. No, I don't blame you. I'm just saying, I'm just saying this not to make fun of you or blame you, but to awaken you and make you conscious of how the culture affects you. Right? You're not evil. Mashallah, may Allah bless you. You are beautiful people. But you have to, you have to be careful. That is the reason you need to be careful. You want. You are beautiful people. You want to remain beautiful. You don't want to turn into shayateen. And to do that, you should be conscious of what is happening to me from the outside. Anyone who lives in a culture and believes that the culture is not affecting him. Believe me, that guy is not case. There is no way. It's like jumping into the lake and saying, I will not get wet. Everybody else will get wet. You're not. That's nonsense. There is no way that you will not. You are in the lake, brother. So wake up. You are in the culture. The culture will affect you. So what must you do? Be aware of how the culture is affecting me and counter that consciously counter it. So one of the things of this culture, which this, uh, this, uh, he got it off, uh, uh, Raja is talking about in the, I, I thought sort of the one of the, uh, the, one of the results of this is that people accumulate wealth and they feel arrogant about it. I must buy this car. Right? I must have this car. A Ferrari, a Porsche, a McLaren is not transportation. A Rolex is not to tell the time it is to tell the world. Armani is Armani period. It's not clothing. Wake up, wake up. Because just think about. It is that if in this, we are in this month of And may Allah bless the sheikh yesterday. He raised a very beautiful point. He said, do you love Rasulullah? Salaam. And we all said, yes. And he said, do you think Rasulullah Salaam will love you? I would like to say, I hope so. But on what basis? And seriously, if you just imagine this, you know, Allah, Allah, he just imagined if suddenly through his door, Rasulullah Salaam walks into the masjid. How many people are here who even who will even recognize him? As recognize him as the individual. I mean, you see a very, you know, handsome and a very impressive, a man with a big black beard and, you know, a turban on his head. But it can be anybody, right? Unless you know the Rasulullah Salaam, you know his Shamail, you know his, you can recognize him as the individual. It can be anyone. You might say. Oh, my. MashaAllah. SubhanAllah. Who is this gentleman? You know, he looks very, very handsome, looks very impressive. That is the Rasulullah Salaam. But do you recognize him? And if he walks in here, what is he going to be dressed in? What is he going to be dressed in? If he came here in today's world, what kind of car do you think he would drive? Not a McLaren, that's what I'll tell you. Not a Rolls Royce. He doesn't have to come here on a camel. Say, in today's world, he'll come here in a car. Which car? Do you think it matters to him which car? Why does it matter to me and you? So, we live in a culture where we are trained to look down on others. I drive this car. I wear this kind of clothes. I wear this kind of clothes. What do you think branding is all about? Branding is all about conditioning your brain to advertise somebody else's product free of cost. That's branding. If you are wearing, you know, a Nike shirt, I can understand shoes. You might say, well, you know, I need a certain kind of shoe because I've got a problem with my feet. And, you know, unless I have hokas or something, that's okay. I understand. There's a reason. What about clothes? I must have this brand. So, this is the world. The world has conditioned you to believe that somehow it adds value to you when you have that brand showing on your shirt. All that you're doing is giving that guy who made the shirt free publicity. That's it. He doesn't have to pay. You paid for the shirt. You paid a premium for that shirt. And you are carrying it around, publicizing it. You are advertising his brand for free. Right? So, think about this. And Allah is saying this is a shameful thing.
