Auto-generated transcript:Alhamdulillah Rabbil Alameen wa salatu wa salamu ala ash-sharafi al-ambiyyi wal-mursaleen Muhammadur Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa ala alihi wa sahbihi wa sallam. Tasliman kathiran kathiran. My dear respected brothers, sisters, elders. Before I begin my khutbah, I ask you to make dua for the forgiveness of the father-in-law of our dear brother Muhammad Kibodia. Who died today, he was sitting in Juma'ah in the Saf listening to the khutbah. When the khutbah finished and the Imam said, People stood up and he was still sitting there. So somebody said, please stand up. And he was gone. La ilaha illallah. Inna lillahi wa inna alayhi rati. I ask Allah to give me a khatim. I like this inshallah. Inshallah. Allahumma khufir lahu wa rahmah. Wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. Wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. The body of one of our brothers, a revert, who was the only Muslim in that family. And as I was bathing the body, and I went deliberately. Alhamdulillah, we have enough people to do this work. I said, I need the reminder for myself. So I went. Because the previous body I bathed was about 25 years ago from the same masjid. So I thought, too long, the time has passed. So I need the reminder. I went there. And subhanAllah, as I am bathing the body, I am thinking to myself, this man could have been a billionaire, a trillionaire, and he could own planes, and he could own, you know, massive palaces and whatnot. Or he could be somebody off the street from under us, living out of a shopping cart, which he stole from someplace. He could be anybody. All I have there is a body. And I remind myself and I remind you that one day this will happen to you and me. This will happen to us. And I had a, alhamdulillah, an amazing realization at that time. And I was thinking all this, you know, all this. Maybe he had wealth, maybe he didn't have wealth, and so on, so on. And I was thinking, how can I get this? And I was thinking, how can I get this? And I was thinking, how can I get this? And the question that popped in my mind was, how do I know what will stay here when I'm dying? When I die, how do I know what will stay here? And how do I know what goes with me? And my realization was very simple. And that was that whatever I can see will remain here. Whatever it is. I can see my wife. She will remain here. I can see. I can see my friends. They will remain here. I can see my property. It will remain here. Whatever I can see will stay here. What will go with me is how I acquired the property. What decisions did I make? How did I behave? What did I choose? Where did I choose to earn my living? Where did I choose to commit to pornography? And what did I deeply feel that this community needs toď? I was not safe in the behind of the altar. I was not safe in the rise of God by health and sickness. I was not safe in the rise of God by health and sickness. I had an addiction to Str pattern You'll see the money accumulating during this process. going to my qabar. But the fact that I used my money for a good cause will go with me. And I think that was a huge reminder for me. He says, Suhaillah, focus on why you are doing something. What is the niyyah? What is the khilas? What is my ta'allukh with Allah? Who do I look to for help? Who do I worship? Salim bin Abdullah bin Umar, radhiallahu anhum, was making tawaf. When Hisham bin Abdul Malik, the khalifa, also came to make umrah. So he saw Salim bin Abdullah bin Umar, the grandson of Umar bin Al-Khattab, radhiallahu anhum, making tawaf. And he looked at him and he saw that his clothes didn't look particularly good. They looked old and they looked, you know, maybe they had some holes in them, Allah knows. And he was carrying his shoes in his hand. And he saw that the shoes also looked like they were broken. So he came next to him while they are making tawaf. And he said, Salam, and he said to him, tell me, is there anything you need? What can I give you? I mean, he has a good heart. He's asking out of good intention. But he says, tell me, what do you need? What can I give you? Salim bin Umar, Salim bin Umar, radhiallahu anhum, looked at him with anger. And he said, are you not ashamed that you are in the house of Allah and you are making tawaf of the Kaaba and you are asking me what I need and what I can tell you? Are you not ashamed of this? So Hisham, this is the Khalifa of the time. They finished their tawaf and so on and they went to the mosque. Then Salim bin Abdullah went outside the mosque. So Hisham bin Abdul Malik, he waited for him to go a distance. Then he came back to him. He said, now we are not in the mosque. So now tell me, tell me what do you need? How can I help you? So Salim bin Abdullah says to him, shall I tell you about my duniyavi needs, my needs of this world? Or shall I tell you about my needs in the Akhira? He's saying to the Khalifa, to the King, shall I tell you about what I need in this life, in this world? Or shall I tell you about what I need in the Akhira? So Hisham bin Abdul Malik, said to him, ya Sheikh, I have no control over the Akhira. So tell me what you need in this life. Salim bin Abdullah says to him, I do not even ask the one who owns this world. I do not even ask the one who owns this world for my needs. In this life. He said, you want me to ask you when you don't own the world? I do not even ask for my needs to the one who owns the world. And you want me to ask you when you do not own this world? Now you might say, well, you know, is it haram to make dua? No, it is not. You can make dua. You can ask Allah, of course. I'm talking about people who set a standard. They sat nice and simple. I am not askingaye. Allow me to ask Ka'al Ancient dan, they don't let you ask Allah' . Thank Allah. So if you ask Allah, ask Allah. Don't go begging to people. At least, don't do that. We are on the last of the lessons of of lessons that Ibrahim Atheem Rahmatullahi told messages he gave to the people of Basra, the last three of them. And the eighth one was, he said, you busy yourselves with the fault of your brothers while ignoring your own faults. SubhanAllah, how familiar is that? How familiar is that? Everyone has an opinion about everyone else. Except themselves. He says, Allah does not accept your dua because you busy yourselves with the faults of others instead of looking at yourselves. Where is Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said in Surah Al-A'zam, and now indeed you have come to us alone, in a lonely state. Now indeed you have come to us alone. Even as we created you in the first instance, we were created alone. And you have left behind all that we bestowed on you in this lifetime. Everything you can see, stays here. And we go to Allah alone. And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is saying that. I remind myself and you, that I will go to Allah alone. You will go to Allah alone. And whatever we did, the action, will go with us. We will leave behind everything we owned. The shop in which we sold, the house we bought, the house we bought, the house we bought, the house we sold, the house we bought, will stay here. The shop in which we sold haram, will also stay here. Whether we sold haral or haram, will go with us. The house we built, with halal money, will stay here. The house which we built with an interest-based loan, interest-based mortgage, and on top of that you write, I am going to rent this house. That house will also remain here. But our decision will go with us. People's honour, people's property, that we grabbed, that we played with, will still be here. But the fact that we tried to attack the honour of somebody, that we tried to attack the property of somebody, that we tried to attack the property of somebody, will go with us. Others will fight over those houses and those shops, while we will stand naked and helpless and ashamed and terrified. Arabic Arabic Arabic Arabic Arabic Arabic Arabic Arabic Arabic Arabic Arabic Arabic Arabic Arabic Arabic Arabic Arabic Arabic Arabic Arabic Arabic life talking about others and predicting their ending. And because Allah told us each one will carry his own burden. No one will carry the burden of anyone else. Ninth point, he said you enjoy the blessings of your Rabb but you are not grateful. You enjoy the blessings of your Rabb but you are not grateful. Just monitor conversations. I say this all the time. Listen to conversations. Do you hear shukur or do you hear complaints? Whether it is the weather, whether it is politics, whether it is the job market, whether it is a share market, whether it is the family, do you hear shukur or do you hear complaints? And the second point is, do you enjoy the blessings of your Rabb? Do you enjoy the blessings of your Rabb? Hasan Basri was going down the street and he over a conversation between two people and one man was complaining about his life to the other man. Hasan Basri stopped and said to him, what a strange man you are. What a strange man you are. You are complaining about Ar-Rahman to the one who has no Rahmah. What a strange man you are. You are complaining about Ar-Rahman to the one who has no Rahmah. Right? If you complain about your life, what are you complaining about? Allah gave it to you. That's why I say, don't worry about the world because you don't own it. Belongs to Allah. Don't worry about your rizq because Allah said, Allah said, your rizq is with me. I will give you. Don't worry about your future. Because you have no control over it. Worry about only one thing. Only one single thing. And that is, how can I please Allah today? That's it. This deen is very simple. Extremely simple. How can I please Allah today? Any action, any speech that you know does not please Allah, do not do it. No doubts about this. Don't do it. And anything which you know, pleases Allah, do it.
