The Two Witnesses and The 7th Trumpet

Blessings and Welcome! 🟫Revelation Chapter 11:The Two Witnesses1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. 2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. 3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. 5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. 6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. The Witnesses Killed and Raised7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. 8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. 9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. 10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. 12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. 13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly. The Seventh Trumpet15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. 16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God

Follow along as you listen to the podcast.1 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: 2 And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth, 3 And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices. 4 And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not. 5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, 6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: 7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.8 And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth. 9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey. 10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter. 11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.Thank you for turning in!Glenda CokerSubmit your prayer requests, praise reports, questions and comments on the blog site.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/faith-and-light--970904/support.Stay connected. The Bottomless Pit: The East Army

Blessings and Welcome! 🟦The reading is from the Book of Revelation, Chapter 9. Follow along as you listen to the podcast.1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.12 One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter.13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.Thank you for turning in!Glenda CokerSubmit your prayer requests, praise reports, questions and comments on the blog site.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/faith-and-light--970904/support.Stay connected. This chapter presents a powerful vision of divine protection, redemption, and the finality of God's plan for humanity during the tumultuous events of the end times. The chapter opens with the vision of four angels standing at the four corners of the Earth, holding back the winds of destruction. These winds symbolize the catastrophic events and judgments that are about to be unleashed upon the world. Before this destruction is allowed to occur, another angel ascends from the east, carrying the seal of the living God. He proclaims that the servants of God must be sealed on their foreheads, signifying their divine protection from the impending tribulations. The sealing of the 144,000 individuals from the twelve tribes of Israel follows. Conquest, Conflict, Scarcity and Death: Judgment and Earthly Turmoil

Blessings and Welcome! 🟧Conquest, Conflict, Scarcity, and Death: Judgment and Earthly TurmoilRevelation Chapter 6 is about the opening of the first six of the seven seals on a scroll that contains God's plan for the end times. The scroll was given to the Lamb (Jesus Christ), who is the only one Worthy to open it. The seals represent the judgments of God on the unbelievers on the Earth during the tribulation period which is a time of trouble and distress before Christ returned. Revelation Chapter 6:1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? In response to these events, people on earth recognize the severity of the situation and acknowledge that the day of God's wrath has come. They plead to the mountains and rocks to fall on them and hide them from the face of the Lamb.Stay in prayer.Glenda CokerBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/faith-and-light--970904/support.Stay connected. The Worthy Lamb: The Triumph of the Lion of Judah

Blessings and Welcome! 🟥Chapter 5 of the Book of Revelation begins with the apostle John seeing a scroll in the right hand of God, which is sealed with seven seals. An angel proclaims with a loud voice, asking who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals. No one in heaven or on earth is found worthy to open it.John becomes distressed by this, but one of the elders assures him that the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome and is worthy to open the scroll. Then, John sees a Lamb that appears as if it has been slain, standing in the midst of the throne and the four living creatures and elders. The Lamb approaches the throne, takes the scroll from God's right hand, and this action causes the living creatures and elders to worship the Lamb. They also sing a new song, praising the Lamb for being worthy to open the scroll and its seals, for He was slain and has redeemed people from every tribe, language, people, and nation. They declare that the Lamb has made them kings and priests to God, and they will reign on the earth.Furthermore, John hears the voice of many angels surrounding the throne, along with the living creatures and elders, and the number of them is countless. They all proclaim the Lamb's worthiness to receive power, riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and blessing.Next, John sees every created being in heaven, on earth, under the earth, and in the sea, along with all that is in them, worshiping the one sitting on the throne and the Lamb. They ascribe blessings, honor, glory, and power to God forever and ever. The chapter ends with the four living creatures saying "Amen," and the elders bowing down and worshiping.Revelation Chapter 5:The Book with Seven Seals1And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.2And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?3And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.4And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. The Lamb is Worthy5And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.6And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.7And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. 8And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.9And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;10And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. The Lamb Exalted11And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;12Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.13And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I

The Heavenly Throne Revealed

Hello friends and many Blessings to you! ⚪Revelation 4Heavenly Throne RevealedRevelation Chapter 4 provides a glimpse into the heavenly realm and the throne room of God. Here is a summary of Revelation Chapter 4:The chapter begins with the Apostle John receiving a vision where a door in heaven is opened, and he hears a voice like a trumpet calling him to come up. In the spirit, John is transported to the heavenly realm, where he sees a throne set in heaven and someone sitting on it, who is described as having the appearance of jasper and a sardine stone.John observes twenty-four other thrones surrounding the central throne, and seated on those thrones are twenty-four elders clothed in white garments, wearing crowns of gold. Thunder and lightning proceed from the throne, and there are seven lamps of fire burning before it, representing the seven Spirits of God.In front of the throne, John sees a sea of glass, like crystal. Surrounding the throne, he also notices four living creatures, each having six wings and being full of eyes, both in front and behind. These creatures praise and worship God day and night, declaring His holiness, and they give glory, honor, and thanks to the one seated on the throne.Whenever the living creatures offer worship to God, the twenty-four elders fall down before Him, casting their crowns before the throne and proclaiming His worthiness to receive glory, honor, and power. They acknowledge that God is the creator of all things and that by His will, everything exists and was created.Revelation Chapter 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.Discussion Question:Whom did the 4 beasts signify?Matthew Poole's Commentary:Solution:There are various notions about them. Some judge them the four evangelists; but John himself was one of these, and yet alive. Some will have them four apostles that were mostly at Jerusalem; but I see no ground for that. Some will have them angels; oth

Awakening the Spiritually Dead: The Urgent Call to Repentance

Hello and Blessings 🟣Revelation Chapter 3 focuses on the letters to the seven churches in Asia. In this chapter, three of the seven churches, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea are addressed. The Letter to the Church in Sardis (Revelation 3:1-6):The letter to the church in Sardis begins by acknowledging that the church has a reputation for being alive, but in reality, it is spiritually dead. The church is called to wake up and strengthen the remaining faithful, to remember and obey what they have received, and to repent. Those who overcome and remain faithful will be clothed in white garments and their names will not be blotted out of the Book of Life. The Letter to the Church in Philadelphia (Revelation 3:7-13):The letter to the church in Philadelphia starts by describing Jesus as the one who holds the key of David and opens doors that no one can shut. The church is commended for its faithfulness, despite its little strength. Jesus promises to make those who are of the synagogue of Satan bow before the believers' feet. He encourages them to hold fast to what they have and promises to keep them from the hour of trial that will come upon the whole world. The Letter to the Church in Laodicea (Revelation 3:14-22):The church in Laodicea is criticized for being lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, and is urged to be zealous and repent. Jesus stands at the door and knocks, inviting anyone who hears His voice to open the door and let Him in. Those who overcome will be granted the right to sit with Him on His throne.Revelation Chapter 3:1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.14 And unto the angel of the church of

The chapter contains specific messages for each of the churches, addressing their strengths, weaknesses, and offering exhortations and promises.Ephesus: Jesus commends the church in Ephesus for their hard work, perseverance, and discernment against false teachings. However, He reproves them for losing their initial love for Him and urges them to repent and return to their first love.Smyrna: Jesus encourages the church in Smyrna, acknowledging their suffering and poverty. He assures them that although they will face persecution, they should remain faithful, and promises them the crown of life.Pergamum: Jesus warns the church in Pergamum about false teachings and idolatry that some among them have embraced. John describes himself as a witness and recipient of this revelation.John explains that he was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day when he heard a loud voice behind him, sounding like a trumpet. He turned around and saw a vision of Jesus Christ, who appeared in His glory. Jesus held seven stars in His right hand and stood amidst seven golden candlesticks. His appearance was radiant, and His voice was powerful.John fell at Jesus' feet as though dead, but Jesus reassured him, saying, "Fear not, I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive forevermore, Amen." Jesus then instructs John to write the things he sees, both past and future, and to send the letters to the seven churches in Asia.John provides further details about the vision, describing Jesus as having eyes like a flame of fire and feet like fine brass. He carries a sharp two-edged sword coming out of His mouth, symbolizing the power of His words. Jesus reveals Himself as the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, and the Almighty.John explains that he was on the island of Patmos for the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus when he received this revelation. He heard a voice like a trumpet telling him to write what he sees and send it to the seven churches: Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamos, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea. In closing, John shares his response to the vision, expressing his awe and reverence for Jesus. He reiterates that the vision and the words he hears are true and trustworthy. The chapter ends with Jesus giving John the charge to write down the things he has seen, the things that are, and the things that will be hereafter.Revelation Chapter 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.12 And I turned to

Confronting Deception: Upholding the Truth

Blessings and Welcome Friends!!! 🟡The Book of Jude is a short letter written by Jude, the brother of James. Mary and Joseph.. It is addressed to believers in Jesus and serves as a warning against false teachers and their destructive influence within the early Christian community.Jude begins by expressing his desire to write about the common salvation shared by believers. However, he feels compelled to address a pressing concern: the infiltration of false teachers who distort the teachings of Jesus and lead people astray. He warns that these false teachers were once predicted by the apostles, and they should be on guard against their deceptive tactics.Jude compares them to several historical examples of God's judgment on those who rebelled against His authority, including fallen angels, the people of Sodom and Gomorrah, and Israelites who rebelled in the wilderness.Jude describes the false teachers as ungodly, denying Jesus Christ, and indulging in immoral behavior. They promote licentiousness , rejecting all forms of authority and perverting the grace of God into an excuse for sinful behavior. These false teachers are criticized for speaking evil against celestial beings and undermining the authority of Jesus Christ.Jude then reminds the brethren to build themselves up in their most holy faith, to pray in the Holy Spirit, and to keep themselves in the love of God. He encourages them to show mercy to those who doubt and to save others by snatching them from the fire of false teachings.Jude Chapter 1:1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:2 Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophes

Supporting Fellow Believers and Warning against Arrogance

Blessings and Welcome Friends!!! 🟢The third letter of John, addressed to an individual named Gaius, serves as a personal correspondence from the Apostle John. The purpose of this letter is to commend and encourage Gaius for his hospitality and support of fellow believers. This letter speaks about 3 men specifically:1 Gaius2 Diotrephes3 DemetriusJohn begins by expressing his joy upon hearing about Gaius's faithfulness in walking in the truth. He commends Gaius for his loving actions towards other believers, who have testified about his hospitality.John emphasizes the importance of supporting fellow believers who are traveling and spreading the Gospel, as they rely on the support and hospitality of others. In this letter, John also mentions a man named Diotrephes, who holds a position of authority within the local church. John criticizes him for his arrogant behavior and refusal to accept John's authority. He warns Gaius about Diotrephes's negative influence, urging him not to imitate his actions but instead follow what is good.In contrast to Diotrephes, John speaks highly of Demetrius, who is well spoken of by everyone, including the truth itself.John encourages Gaius to welcome Demetrius with open arms when he arrives, as he embodies the characteristics of a faithful follower of Christ.3 John Chapter 1: 1 The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth.2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.3 For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.5 Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers;6 Which have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well:7 Because that for his name's sake they went forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles.8 We therefore ought to receive such, that we might be fellowhelpers to the truth.9 I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.10 Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.12 Demetrius hath good report of all men, and of the truth itself: yea, and we also bear record; and ye know that our record is true.13 I had many things to write, but I will not with ink and pen write unto thee:14 But I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be to thee. Our friends salute thee. Greet the friends by name.In conclusion, John expresses his desire to see Gaius in person and conveys greetings from mutual friends. He ends the letter by expressing his hope for peace to be with Gaius.Overall, the letter of 3 John emphasizes the importance of showing hospitality and support to fellow believers, while cautioning against the negative influence of those who act in self-centered and divisive ways.Thank you for listening! 🎧Glenda CokerEnter into the contest to win $50 in cash by subscribing to the two video channels below ⬇️Video ChannelsThe Blessings MinistryGod is G

Guarding Against Deception: The Importance of Discernment and Hospitality

Blessings and Welcome! 🟠Join in the reading and discussion of2 John Chapter 1:1 The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;2 For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.3 Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.4 I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.12 Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.13 The children of thy elect sister greet thee. Faith Victory and Eternal Life

Blessings and Welcome! 🟣In this chapter of 1 John Chapter 5, the apostle John discusses the importance of having faith in Jesus as the Son of God and the benefits that come with it. He begins by stating that whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God.John emphasizes that the love of God is manifested through keeping His commandments and that His commandments are not burdensome.John affirms that the ones who are born of God overcome the world and that their faith is the victory that conquers the world. He highlights the witness of the Holy Spirit, the water, and the blood, which testify to the truth of Jesus being the Son of God. John emphasizes the importance of accepting this testimony and believing in Jesus to have eternal life. The apostle further explains that those who have faith in Jesus have assurance and confidence in their prayers. He states that if believers ask according to God's will, He hears them, and if they know that God hears them, they can be assured that they will receive whatever they ask for.John also addresses the concept of sin, stating that there is a sin leading to death and another sin that does not lead to death. He encourages believers to pray for those who commit a sin that does not lead to death, and assures them that God will give life to those who do not sin leading to death. The chapter concludes with John affirming the certainty of eternal life for those who believe in Jesus, stating that they can know that they have eternal life. He reminds believers to stay away from idols and to guard themselves against false gods.Overall, 1 John Chapter 5 emphasizes the importance of faith in Jesus as the Son of God, the victory over the world through this faith, the assurance in prayer, and the certainty of eternal life for those who believe in Him.1 John Chapter 5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.16 If any man se

Love and Discernment

Blessings! 🔵In 1 John chapter 4, the emphasizes is on the importance of love and discernment in the lives of believers. The chapter begins with a warning to test the spirits, as false prophets have gone out into the world. The chapter instructs the readers to discern the spirit of truth from the spirit of error by examining whether the spirits acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. The chapter emphasizes that believers are from God and encourages them to listen to the teachings of true apostles. Those who know God listen to the apostles, while those who do not listen to them are not of God. This is an important test of the genuineness of one's faith.Love is a central theme in this chapter. The author highlights that love is from God because God is love. God's love was revealed to the world through His sending of His only Son, Jesus Christ, to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins. The author emphasizes that God's love is not simply a sentimental feeling but a sacrificial action. The chapter goes on to say that since God has loved us in this way, we should love one another. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us. First John Chapter 4 reminds us that no one has seen God, but if we love one another, God's love is made manifest in us.The Scripture concludes by discussing the connection between love and fear. Perfect love casts out fear because fear involves punishment. The one who fears is not perfected in love. We are reassured that we can love because God first loved them. If someone claims to love God but hates their brother or sister, they are a liar. For those who love God must also love their fellow believers.Overall, 1 John chapter 4 emphasizes the importance of discerning the spirits, loving one another, and living in the perfect love that comes from God. It teaches that love is not just a sentiment but a sacrificial action, and that loving others is a testament to our love for God.1 John Chapter 4: 1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.16 And we have known and believ

Encouraging Believers to Live Righteously

Glory to God! 🟡In 1 John Chapter 3, the Apostle John continues to address the believers with messages of encouragement and exhortation. The chapter begins with an emphasis on the incredible love that God has bestowed upon believers, referring to them as children of God.The author highlights the fact that the world does not recognize or understand this identity, but assures the believers that they are indeed God's children, and the full extent of their glory is yet to be revealed.John then shifts his focus to the practical implications of being children of God. He emphasizes the need for believers to live in righteousness and to reject sin. He asserts that those who truly belong to God will not continue to live in a pattern of sin because the seed of God remains in them. This seed refers to the Holy Spirit, who empowers believers to live a life pleasing to God. John contrasts the righteousness of believers with the unrighteousness of those who do not know God. He emphasizes that those who habitually practice sin are children of the devil, while those who practice righteousness are children of God.The chapter has a stark contrast between light and darkness, love and hatred, truth and deception.Furthermore, John encourages believers to love one another, highlighting the central importance of love in their relationships. He reminds them that love is not merely a matter of words or empty gestures, but of action and truth.By loving one another, believers demonstrate that they are children of God and are following in the example of Jesus Christ, who laid down his life for others. In conclusion, 1 John Chapter 3 emphasizes the identity of believers as children of God and calls them to live a life characterized by righteousness, love, and truth. It highlights the contrast between the children of God and those who do not know Him, urging believers to stand firm in their faith and to love one another as Christ has loved them.1 John Chapter 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know

Navigating the Path of Faith

Welcome Friends!First John Chapter 2 focuses on various aspects of Christian living and the relationship between believers and God. Here is a summary of the chapter:The chapter begins with John addressing his audience as "little children" and expressing his desire for them not to sin.He assures them that if anyone does sin, they have an advocate in Jesus Christ, who intercedes for them with the Father. Jesus is described as the atoning sacrifice for the sins of the whole world.John then emphasizes the importance of keeping God's commandments as an expression of love for Him. He states that those who claim to know God but do not keep His commandments are liars, whereas those who obey His word truly show that the love of God is in them.John speaks of a new commandment, which is both old and new at the same time. It is to love one another. He explains that this love is not merely words but requires actions and sacrifices. By loving one another, believers walk in the light and avoid stumbling.John warns against the darkness of hatred, stating that anyone who hates his brother is in darkness and does not walk in the light. He reminds his audience that they have been forgiven by God and encourages them to continue in their faith, knowing the truth of Jesus Christ.John discusses the different stages of spiritual maturity, addressing children, young men, and fathers in the faith. He assures them that they have overcome the evil one through the Word of God abiding in them. He encourages them not to love the world or the things in it, as they are temporary, but to focus on doing the will of God.John warns his readers about the spirit of antichrist that is present in the world and will oppose Christ. He encourages them to hold fast to what they have learned from the beginning and to abide in the truth of Jesus Christ. He reassures them that the Holy Spirit, whom they have received, will guide them in discerning the truth and avoiding deception. The chapter concludes with John highlighting the promises that believers have in Christ, including eternal life. He encourages them to remain faithful and confident in their relationship with God, knowing that they are His children. In appreciation to all listeners, supporters and subscribers, there is a $50 cash give away after every 50th YouTube subscriber. Fellowship and Faith

Welcome Friends!First John Chapter 1 emphasizes the importance of fellowship, acknowledging sin, and walking in the light. Here is a summary of the chapter:The chapter begins with John introducing himself as an eyewitness of Jesus Christ, emphasizing the reality of Jesus' physical presence. John declares that the purpose of his writing is to share the message of eternal life, which he experienced firsthand.John emphasizes the importance of fellowship with God and with one another. He proclaims that the true fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ. He encourages believers to engage in this fellowship so that their joy may be complete.Furthermore, John emphasizes the significance of walking in the light. He declares that God is light, and in Him, there is no darkness. If believers claim to have fellowship with God but walk in darkness, they deceive themselves. However, if they walk in the light, as God is in the light, they have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses them from all sin.John acknowledges that every person has the potential to sin, but if believers confess their sins, God is faithful and just to forgive them and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. If anyone claims to be without sin, they deceive themselves and make God's truth unattainable in their lives. In conclusion, John encourages believers to acknowledge their sins, walk in the light, and maintain fellowship with God and other believers. He assures them that if they do so, they will experience forgiveness, cleansing, and a complete joy that comes from a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ.1 John Chapter 1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.In appreciation to all listeners, supporters and subscribers, there is a $50 cash give away after every 50th YouTube subscriber. The Certainty of Christ's Coming

The Certainty of Christ's ComingSecond Peter Chapter 3 addresses the coming of Jesus Christ and emphasizes the importance of being prepared. Peter begins by acknowledging that he is writing a second letter to the brethren, reminding them of the teachings of the prophets and apostles.Peter first addresses the skepticism and doubts that some may have concerning the coming of Christ. He points out that in the last days, people will mock the idea, living in accordance with their own desires and denying the existence of God. Peter warns that these scoffers willfully ignore the historical evidence of God's judgment in the past, such as the flood during Noah's time.Peter then explains that the coming of Christ has been delayed for the sake of giving people ample time to repent and turn to God. He explains that with God, a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years like a day, meaning that God's sense of time is different from ours. Therefore, God's apparent delay should not be mistaken as His absence or indifference but rather as an opportunity for salvation.Peter encourages the believers not to lose hope but to remain steadfast in their faith, living lives of holiness and godliness. He assures them that the day of the Lord will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night, and that the heavens and the earth will pass away with a great noise, to be replaced with a new heaven and a new earth.Peter reminds them that, in light of this impending judgment, they should strive to be found blameless and at peace with God. He warns against false teachers who distort the teachings of the apostles, leading people astray. He advises that they to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ, and to be on guard against deception. In conclusion, 2 Peter Chapter 3 emphasizes the certainty of Christ's coming, the need for repentance and holiness, and the importance of remaining vigilant against false teachings. Peter encourages believers to live in anticipation of the day of the Lord, knowing that God's timing is perfect and that His judgment will come to pass.I appreciate all listeners, supporters, and subscribers! False Teachers and Judgment

False Teachers and JudgmentSecond Peter Chapter 2 in the KJV version of the Bible addresses the issue of false prophets and teachers who bring destructive heresies into the church. The chapter serves as a warning to believers about the dangers of falling prey to their deceitful teachings and immoral lifestyles. The chapter begins by highlighting the presence of false prophets in ancient times and how similar false teachers will arise among the believers. These false prophets will subtly introduce destructive heresies, denying the Lord who redeemed them and bringing swift destruction upon themselves.Peter then provides examples of past judgment upon the wicked, including the fallen angels who sinned and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. This serves as a reminder that God has the power to judge the unrighteous and rescue the righteous. The chapter continues by describing the immoral behavior of these false teachers. They indulge in sensual pleasures, including sexual immorality, and entice others to follow their corrupt ways. Peter warns that these false teachers, despite their promises of freedom, are themselves enslaved to their sinful desires.Peter emphasizes that God is aware of their actions and does not hesitate to punish the wicked. He uses the examples of Noah and Lot, who were both saved by God from the destruction of the ungodly. The righteous are contrasted with the unrighteous, and it is made clear that the ungodly will be punished while the righteous will be preserved.Peter further describes these false teachers as arrogant, speaking evil of authorities and promoting rebellion. They entice others with empty promises, promising freedom while leading them into bondage. Growing in Faith and Guarding Against False Teaching

Glory to God!In 2 Peter Chapter 1, the apostle Peter addresses his audience as fellow believers and reminds them of the precious faith they share in Jesus Christ. He emphasizes the importance of growing in their faith and encourages them to pursue spiritual maturity.Peter begins by reminding the readers that they have been given divine power through their knowledge of Christ, who called them to His own glory and virtue. Through this power, they have been given all things necessary for life and godliness.Peter urges the believers to make every effort to supplement their faith with a range of virtues, including goodness, knowledge, self-control, steadfastness, godliness, brotherly affection, and love. He explains that possessing these qualities will help them be fruitful and effective in their knowledge of Christ.Peter then asserts that those who lack these virtues are spiritually shortsighted and have forgotten the cleansing they received from their past sins. He advises his readers to be diligent in confirming their calling and election, as doing so will prevent them from stumbling and ensure their entrance into the eternal kingdom of Christ.Furthermore, Peter recounts his personal experience on the mountaintop with Jesus during the Transfiguration. He assures the readers that he and the other apostles were not following cleverly devised myths but rather witnessed the power and majesty of Christ firsthand. This experience, he says, confirms the prophetic word of Scripture, which is like a lamp shining in a dark place until the day dawns and the morning star rises in their hearts.Peter emphasizes that no prophecy of Scripture comes from human interpretation but is instead inspired by the Holy Spirit. He warns the believers to be wary of false prophets and false teachers who will arise among them, introducing destructive heresies and denying the Lord who bought them. These false teachers will exploit others through deceptive words and face severe judgment. In conclusion, Peter encourages the believers to remember the teachings of the apostles and the commandment of the Lord Jesus. He exhorts them to grow in grace and knowledge, to remain steadfast in their faith, and to anticipate the day of the Lord's return, when the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be dissolved. He reminds them to live in holiness and godliness, eagerly awaiting the new heavens and new earth promised by God.This chapter serves as a call to believers to pursue spiritual growth, be watchful against false teachings, and remain steadfast in their faith as they await the glorious return of Jesus Christ.Love,SisterG /Glenda CokerFaith T-shirts 👕 https://bit.ly/BlessingsStore Faith Books 📚 https://bit.ly/Inspire_BooksBlog 📨 Email Listhttps://bit.ly/In_GodsPresenceDonations:https://www.paypal.me/guidingheartsBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/faith-and-light--970904/support.Stay connected. Living for God in Difficult Times

Blessings!!!1 Peter Chapter 4 begins with Peter encouraging the believers to live for the rest of their time in the flesh not for human passions, but for the will of God. He reminds them that they have already spent enough time living in the way of the Gentiles and urges them to be prepared for the end of all things, which is at hand.Peter then goes on to exhort them to love one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. He encourages the use of spiritual gifts to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace. He reminds the people of God that if anyone speaks, they should speak as one who speaks the oracles of God; if anyone serves, they should serve with the strength that God supplies, so that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.Peter also prepares them for the possibility of suffering, reminding them that Christ suffered in the flesh, and therefore they should arm themselves with the same way of thinking. He urges them not to be surprised at the fiery trial that has come upon them, but to rejoice insofar as they share Christ's sufferings, knowing that they will also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.Peter concludes the chapter by emphasizing the importance of judgment beginning with the household of God and reminding his readers that if the righteous are scarcely saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner? He encourages them to entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good. - 1 Peter Chapter 4Love,SisterGGlenda CokerFaith T-shirts 👕 https://bit.ly/BlessingsStoreFaith Books 📚 https://bit.ly/Inspire_BooksBlog 📨 Email List https://bit.ly/In_GodsPresenceDonations: https://www.paypal.me/guidingheartsBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/faith-and-light--970904/support.Stay connected. He calls on them to submit to authority and to live as good citizens, honoring everyone, fearing God, and respecting the king.Peter also says, as followers of Christ, one can expect to suffer, just as He did. However, he encourages them to endure suffering with patience and to entrust themselves to God, who will ultimately judge the world. In conclusion, 1 Peter Chapter 2 emphasizes the importance of spiritual growth and living as God's chosen people, holy and set apart for His purposes. It reminds believers of their identity as living stones in God's spiritual house and as a royal priesthood and a holy nation. It calls on them to submit to authority, to proclaim the goodness of God, and to endure suffering with patience, entrusting themselves to God. 1 Peter Chapter 2:1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.18 Serv

The Value of Faith, Perseverance, and Holiness

Blessings 🌐The first chapter of 1 Peter is a powerful message of hope and encouragement for Christians who are facing various trials and difficulties. Throughout this chapter, Peter emphasizes the value of faith, perseverance, and holiness, and how they are essential for the Christian walk.1 Peter Chapter 1:1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel

The Power of Patience and Prayer

Blessings! 🧑‍🤝‍🧑The Power of Patience and PrayerJames Chapter 4 in the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible addresses adulterers and adulteresses," saying that whosoever practices this activity is a friends with the world and an enemy of God.He goes on to say that the root of conflicts and disagreements is from own selfish desires and lusts. He urges humility before God, to resist the devil, and draw near to God, promising that God will in turn draw near as well.James also warns against speaking evil of one another and judging one another, emphasizing that there is only one Lawgiver and Judge. He then admonishes those who boast about their future plans without considering God's will and sovereignty. He reminds the brethren there that life is short and uncertain, and that they should instead focus on doing God's will and serving others. The chapter concludes with a warning to those who hoard wealth and live in luxury at the expense of others, calling them to weep and mourn for their sins and turn back to God. James urges to use wealth to help ones in need and to be good stewards of the blessings God has given them.James Chapter 4:1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?13 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.16 But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.Blessings, Peace and Love,SisterG Glenda CokerFaith T-shirts 👕 https://bit.ly/BlessingsStore Faith Books 📚 https://bit.ly/Inspire_BooksBlog 📨 /Email Listhttps://bit.ly/In_GodsPresenceDonations:https://www.paypal.me/guidingheartsYouTube:. https://youtube.com/@StayInPrayerBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/faith-and-light--970904/support.<br

Faith and Good Works

Faith and Good Works.James chapter 2 discusses the importance of exercising faith through actions. James argues that faith without works is dead, and that true faith is represented by good deeds. He uses the examples of Abraham and Rahab to exemplify this point. James also warns against showing favoritism to the wealthy, and features the importance of showing compassion and mercy to others. He concludes by stating that faith and works are inseparable, and that genuine faith will always result in a transformed life.James Chapter 2:1 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?6 But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.Blessings, Peace and Love,SisterG Glenda Coker Faith T-shirts 👕 https://bit.ly/BlessingsStoreFaith Books 📚 https://bit.ly/Inspire_Books Blog 📨Email List <a href="https://bit

The Majesty of Christ

Blessings! The first chapter of the Book of James emphasizes the importance of faith and perseverance during trials and tribulations. James urges us to see trials as opportunities for growth, to seek wisdom from God, and to remain steadfast in faith. He emphasizes the need for humility, warns against the dangers of temptation, and encourages believers to put their faith into action by helping those in need and living according to God's word. James emphasizes that pure religion involves caring for the vulnerable and avoiding worldly pursuits. He concludes the chapter by stressing the importance of living out one's faith, not just hearing it, and warns against self-deception.1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that waver eth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.9 Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:10 But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.11 For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.<a href="http

For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.10 We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.11 For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.13 Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.18 Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.19 But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.22 And I beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation: for I have written a letter unto you in few words.23 Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.24 Salute all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints. They of Italy salute you.25 Grace be with you all. Amen.<
