When Director and pilot Doug Liman almost ran out of fuel taking his first solo flight to visit Robert Ludlum to acquire the rights to his novel The Bourne Identity (1980), nobody could have imagined how the 2002 film The Bourne Identity (2002) would turn out.
The movie has since produced 4 sequels and billions of dollars in box office returns, but is it better than the book that inspired it?
