Robert is joined this week by Fredrika Klarén, Head of Sustainability at Polestar, to hear about their ambitions to become leaders in sustainable EV manufacturing. Working with Volvo and a range of recycling partners around the world, Polestar are building the capability to recycle and extend the life of many of the components used within their EVs, therefore easing the burden on the wider supply chains that these products are sourced from. Fredrika joined Polestar in April 2020 to drive the company's sustainability ambitions forward on issues such as climate-neutrality, circularity, transparency and inclusion. Fredrika is chair of the board for Agenda 2030 West, an organisation enabling partnership between academia, business, civil society and public sector for the 17 SDGs. She is a firm believer in the role of business as a catalyst for sustainable development and has held sustainability positions over the past decade at IKEA and Swedish fashion retailer KappAhl. She studied Civil Engineering with a focus on Environmental Systems Analysis at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Robert is joined this week by Tony Seba, world-renowned thought-leader, Silicon Valley entrepreneur, educator and the author of the Amazon #1 best-selling book "Clean Disruption of Energy and Transportation: How Silicon Valley Will Make Oil, Nuclear, Natural Gas, Coal, Electric Utilities and Conventional Cars Obsolete by 2030." Tony's work focuses on the convergence of technologies, business models, and product innovations that disrupt the world's major industries. With the aim to provide electric vehicle drivers with "the most welcoming charging experience", Michiel shares his insights and perspective on this fast growing and constantly developing essential piece of the electrification of transportation puzzle. Fastned is a Dutch company that owns and operates a network of over 200 EV charging stations in the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, Belgium, and Switzerland. Electrify America is installing more rapid chargers across the United States than you can poke a stick at. They currently have over 800 charging stations with around 3,500 individual chargers from 150 kW up to 350 kW. They are currently installing 4 new charging stations or hubs every week. This is a seriously rapid roll out. Electrify America have developed ways to reduce strain on local grids with their installation of multiple rapid chargers. Robert Barrosa is the Senior Director of Sales, Business Development & Marketing for Electrify America, and in this week's episode of the Fully Charged Show Podcast, he explains how this is being achieved and a little bit about the history of the funding that has made much of this expansion possible. In late 2016, the U.S. Justice Department fined VW $30 billion after the company was caught rigging two of its diesel engines to pass U.S. emissions tests. In 1988, Sandy Munro started his own consultancy, Munro & Associates specializing in lean design and tearing down automotive products to study and suggest improvements and innovations. Roger Atkins drops into the pod for a short and sweet chat about the development in Formula E. This podcast was recorded on the roof of the fantastic Genesis stand at Fully Charged LIVE (And is absolutely nothing to do with Phil Collins). Jenny is a Solar Analyst for Bloomberg NEF produces the best data and analysis available on the global solar industry, which is going to grow dramatically for the foreseeable future. She is also author of "Solar Power Finance Without the Jargon" Solar power has become big business, with $131 billion invested in 2018, up from just $11.2 billion in 2004, but which countries are really doing their bit?

Dr Brian Hongdi Gu is Xpeng Vice Chairman and President. Xpeng was founded in 2014, two years after the Launch of the Tesla Model S and it has since gone from strength to strength ever since. Dr Gu received a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Washington in 1997, a master's degree in business administration from Yale University in 1999, and a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Oregon in 1993.
