Tram disruptions loom for major projects in 2024
Plans of the tram overpass above Marion and Cross Roads have been revealed, with major works to start on the project in the middle of next year. It means trams won't operate from the Glengowrie Depot into the city but will shuttle to and from Glenelg. At the same time, the South Road overpass will be rebuilt for the north-south corridor but the Transport Dept also wants to run trams from the Entertainment Ctr and Botanic Gardens to South Tce and possibly Goodwood. The problem with this is there's nowhere to store or service trams on that side of the overpasses. Matthew spoke with the state MP for Badcoe, Jayne Stinson.
