Calls to boycott fashion brand Zara have escalated; this comes after they received heavy criticism over their new ad campaign, which featured mannequins that were missing limbs and statues wrapped in white shrouds. Critics say the campaign was a "mockery" of the attacks on Gaza. We discuss how ad campaigns are conceptualised, and how they might navigate sensitivities around hot-button issues and events.
