We love stories about ghost sightings, alien abductions, mysterious creatures including Bigfoot and such. They seem to add an element of mystery or fantasy to our daily lives. But beliefs in such paranormal claims can be harmful, and might have explanations that are non-paranormal after all. We speak with Professor Christopher French, a prominent expert in the field of anomalistic psychology, about possible explanations for seemingly paranormal experiences. He is the founder of the Anomalistic Psychology Research Unit at Goldsmiths University.
