The Orang Asli community were the first group of people to roam our lands but today, they are a marginalised group, suffering unfair circumstances in an urban and greedy world. For years, we’ve read reports about land disputes, extreme poverty and the terrible conditions they live in and years on, the situation sadly remains unchanged.
But the fight for orang asli rights is gaining momentum and one group that is doing all it can is the Malaysian Bar Council Committee on Orang Asli’s Rights, or COAR.
