It’s Talkback Tuesday and The Evening Edition is presenting The Real Deal, in collaboration with Influence 360. This week we’re looking into the global issue of corruption and what it means in the Malaysian context. While the recent release of Transparency International’s Global Corruption Barometer showed some degree of overall improvement about what the public thinks of corruption in the country, a strong 39% believe that corruption has increased, that’s up 2% from 37% in 2011.

So, how does a country eradicate corruption? Surely not overnight and definitely through a massive mindset change across the board. Which is why we’re asking today: What must Malaysia do to combat corruption?
