Show Notes

In the Malay Mail on November 26th, Home Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi was quoted as saying that ‘Stiffer penalties are needed to curb the incredibly high cases of lost MyKad… The ministry is exploring the possibility of amending the Fees Act 1951 to allow for stiffer penalties… We can no longer compromise on people losing their MyKad, especially in view of the more than 500,000 MyKad reported lost from 2010 to 2013.’
