Shark finning has now become illegal in about 100 countries around the world and state governments in China, Hong Kong and even Penang has banned the consumption of shark fin at their official events. With fins off many menus, there is now a glimmer of hope for sharks. We speak to the expert of the field to find out about the realities of the shark fin trade in Asia today.
