Irene Tan was born and bred in Kuala Lumpur. She has been collecting handmade ethnic clothing from China since the early 1990’s. Her collection, with some pieces over 50 years old, will be a showcase of dazzling colours and remarkable workmanship this Saturday, at Badan Warisan Malaysia, an NGO formed in 1983 to conserve and preserve Malaysian heritage.
