A Member of Parliament is elected to represent his or her constituency in Parliament. That is how in theory, citizens have a say in the process of making laws, in how the country’s money is spent, and in how the federal government runs the country. With the opening of the Dewan Rakyat next week on Monday the 24th of June, we’ll be shining a spotlight on what goes on behind those doors. What it’s like to be speaking in Parliament, what it’s going to be like for new MPs and what reforms, if any, can we expect?
