Recently the Endocrine Society published a new clinical practice guideline entitled, “Treatment of Hypercalcemia of Malignancy in Adults: An Endocrine Society Clinical Practice Guideline.” What exactly is hypercalcemia of malignancy? What are its symptoms? How is it treated? And what do the guidelines recommend? To help answer these questions, host Aaron Lohr talks with Ghada El-Hajj Fuleihan, MD, MPH, professor of medicine at the American University in Beirut in Lebanon. She is the chair of the Society working group that developed this guideline.
