The final episode of Season 1 sees new heroes rise as old favourites take their final bows on the Test stage with the backdrop of one of the most exciting and competitive Ashes series in years that goes all the way to the wire.

Having finally broken their series win drought, Australia heads to England for the 1893 seriies with a renewed confidence, bringing along an eccentric Queenslander and a possible new star batsman from Victoria. However, things don't go quite to plan.

WG Grace is finally convinced to tour Australia again for the first time in 18 years. With the local game in a resurgence, Australia comes up against one of the strongest English sides ever assembled as they look to break a 10 year drought against the old enemy.

Billy Murdoch finally returns to a the Australian side after a 6 year absence, captaining the 7th touring side to travel to England. There, a future captain shows grit whilst a climactic finish to the second test has fans recalling the drama of 1882.

Turner and Ferris take their double act on the road, breaking wicket taking records on the 1888 tour of England. The reliance on their brilliance achieves great results at first, but cracks begin to show as the tour progresses.

With Australian cricket in the doldrums, the last thing they need is another tour from England. What they get is two competing tours that bring the finances of the game to the brink. Meanwhile, The Terror continues to wreak havoc on English batsmen.

New faces, including two new star bowlers and a new captain, take the field against an experienced English touring side, whilst old warriors depart the stage for the Australians.

Following the disputes with the previous touring side, the Melbourne Cricket Club takes charge of the 1886 tour. They put the tour in the hands of a young captain who has to bring together an experienced, but jaded side for another crack at the old enemy on their home turf.

The actions of the 1884 Australians come back to bite them as disputes over money see 25 men play test cricket for Australia this summer, whilst a giant player finally lives up to his potential.

Following Ivo Bligh's successful heist of the Ashes, an experienced Australian side return once again to England with their eyes focused more on making money than recovering the Urn.

Following the incredible events of 1882, a future Lord vows to redeem the honour of England cricket and reclaim the Ashes.

The Australians return to England and achieve spectacular results, but doubt remains as to whether they can stand up to the best of England at home. Through the efforts of their Demon Bowler, they are able to show they are more than a match for their English counterparts.
