Karen Monts, Practice Manager for Counseling Services at Hospice of Michigan shares proactive strategies to effectively navigate through the holidays after losing a significant loved one. Karen also shares how Hospice of Michigan provides supportive services to grieving individuals and families during the holidays and throughout the year. Additionally, Karen openly talks about how she has proactively dealt with her own grief during the holidays and how she has helped many others through her role at Hospice of Michigan. I also openly shared some of my own personal experiences with grief and loss-the unexpected death of my mother, my brother's suicide and tragic death of my father and other significant loved ones and how I have been able to find healing from grief and loss through health.
