Today’s episode is all about what it really takes to create emotional freedom. I talk a lot about emotional freedom because I believe it’s the foundation of happiness and success AND it's possible for anyone. Yes, anyone. If we/or our children do not have the tools and roles models to guide them towards feeling in control of their big emotions (anger, anxiety, fear and negative thoughts) they/we will not know how to overcome them — unless they learn themselves. Having a professional background in mental health I’ve witnessed people from all walks of life overcome adversity. So what makes them so resilient? Simple answer: Their lifestyle and their relationship to vulnerability and emotion. In this episode, I discuss:
- How to start feeling in control of your big emotions on a moment by moment basis.
- Why we get stuck in a label and diagnosis and feel like a victim.
- Why I stopped drinking coffee - even though it’s my favourite drink ever.
- My new meditation practice and how it has evolved over the years.
