A: How was your road trip?
你的公路旅行怎么样？
B: It was a nightmare, never again.
真是一场噩梦，别再有下次了。
A: What happened? I thought you said it would be the trip of a lifetime.
发生什么事了？我记得你说过，那会是一场毕生难得的旅行。
B: It was one disaster after another from the moment we left.
从我们出发的那一刻起，麻烦事就接二连三的发生。
A: That's a shame, do tell.
真是遗憾，你就说说吧。
B: We had a blow out after an hour of driving and then ran out of gas a few hours later.
我们开了一个小时后就爆胎了，几个小时后就没油了。
A: Didn't you take a Jerrycan of gas?
你们没带一罐五加仑的汽油吗？
B: No, I didn't think of it. Then we ran into a wild deer at sunset.
没有，我没想到要带，接着我们在日落的时候撞上了一头野鹿。
A: Didn't you slow down at dusk? That's when all the wild animals start roaming onto the roads.
黄昏的时候，你没有减速吗？所有的野生动物都在那个时候开始在马路上游荡。
B: Oh, I didn't know that. Then we camped by a river and were eaten alive by mosquitoes.
啊，我不知道。后来，我们在河边露营，活生生地被蚊子大快朵颐。
A: No insect repellent?
没带防虫液吗？
B: Nope, didn't think I'd need it.
没有，当初以为我不需要。
